      SOLUTION: The rain cover device S for the vehicle is provided on a vehicle roof part 4, and equipped with a development storage mechanism 10 which develops the rain cover sheet 11 taken up to a roll mechanism 29 in a vehicle width direction. The rain cover sheet 11 is provided with a linear member 12 which is a deflection reducing member for reducing the deflection in the gravitational direction when the rain cover sheet 11 is developed from the roll mechanism 29. The linear member 12 is disposed on the rain cover sheet 11 in approximately parallel to the longitudinal direction of the roll mechanism 29, and disposed at a predetermined interval so as not to overlap in the radial direction each other when it is taken up to the roll mechanism 29.
