    • A flexible cylindrical material for lining conduits of drinking water, having an inside surface coated with an adhesive and a structure to be described below. This material is applied to the inside of a conduit by inserting it into the conduit inside out with the aid of a fluid pressure and pressing the inside surface of the lining material against the inside surface of the conduit. This material enables lining work to be conducted without causing pollution of water and with ease. The lining material comprises cylindrical cloth made by weaving or interlooping synthetic fibers and having an outer surface covered with two or three layers of the following resins: (1) in case of two layers: an outer layer: a polyolefin resin with an environmental stress cracking resistance of 1000 hours or above; and an inner layer: (i) a resin prepared by grafting an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid onto an ethylenevinyl acetate copolymer, or (ii) a mixture of 30 to 70 % of a resin prepared by grafting an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid onto an alpha -olefin polymer and 70 to 30 % of a styrene-ethylenebutylene-styrene resin composition; and (2) in case of three layers: the following interlayer is provided between the above-described outer and inner layers: an intermediate layer: a styrene-ethylenebutylene-styrene resin composition.

    • A method for lining pipelines for use in the transportation of city water, city gas, petroleum, and other various fluids is provided, particularly a method for lining with a simple operation pipelines laid at the bottom of the water or pipelines of an extremely long length of up to several thousand meters or more is provided as well. In this method wherein, while a flexible, cylindrical material (2) having an inside surface coated with adhesives is being reversed by the fluid pressure so that the inner side thereof is turned to face the outside, the folded portion (4) of said lining material (2) is allowed to move forward through the inside of a pipeline (1), causing the reversed lining material (2) to be adhered to the inside surface of the pipeline (1); with the pipeline lying in a forward direction of said folded portion fully filled with water (7), reaction-curing adhesives which cure on reacting with water being used as said adhesive, with the forward movement of said folded portion, at said folded portion (4). said adhesive applied over the inside surface of the lining material get into contact with water to effect curing thereof, so that the surface of the lining material coated with adhesives and turned so as to face outside is adhered to the inside surface of the pipeline (1).
