    • PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of absorbent and the absorbent using vermiculite manufactured by the same are provided to facilitate an absorbing process with respect to volatile organic compounds using vermiculite and copper oxides. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of absorbent includes the following steps: copper oxides are deposited on the surface of vermiculite; moisture is evaporated from the vermiculite with the deposited copper oxides; and the vermiculite with the deposited copper oxides is plasticized. The drying process is implemented at a temperature between 80 and 85 deg C using an evaporator. The moisture content of the vermiculite after the drying process is less than or equal to 10wt%. The plasticizing process is implemented in the air at a temperature about 400 deg C for about 4 hours.     • PURPOSE: A flame retardant composition is provided to be able to be applied to a thermoplastic resin with high processing temperature over 250 °C like a polyamide resin or a polyester resin because of no possibility of ignition during processing a polymer resin. CONSTITUTION: A flame retardant composition comprises melamine-based compound of bis(hydroxymethyl)phosphinate metal salt in chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R is C1-6 alkyl group, C2-6 alkenyl group, or C6-12 aryl group, M is aluminum, magnesium, calcium, titanium, or gallium, n is a natural number of 2-4 which is same with an atomic number of a metal. The bis(hydroxymethyl)phosphinate metal salt is one or more selected from magnesium bis(hydroxymethyl)phosphinate, aluminum bis(hydroxymethyl)phosphinate, and aluminum bis(1-hydroxy-but-2-enyl)phosphinate.
