    • PURPOSE: A remote mixing apparatus of a spent nuclear fuel powder is provided to shorten working time and to improve working efficiency by minimizing a matter transfer between containers. CONSTITUTION: A remote mixing apparatus of a spent nuclear fuel powder comprises a powder container in which a spent nuclear fuel powder and a lubricant are inserted. The powder container is injected in a mixer(2), and a power part(3) rotates the mixer(2). An interconnection part(4) is connected to the mixer(2) and to the power part(3), and transfers a driving power of the power part(3) to the mixer(2). A fixing part(5) fixes the power part(3) to a support part(7). A rotation preventing table(6) is installed at one side of the support part(7) so as to prevent a rotation of the mixer(2). A clamp door(21) is installed at a top of the mixer(2). The interconnection part(4) consists of first and second rotation shafts(41,42) and a bearing housing(43). One side of the first rotation shaft(41) is connected with the mixer(2) by a fixing pin(45). The second rotation shaft(42) is coupled with a motor shaft of the power part(3). The bearing housing(43) supports the first and second rotation shafts(41,42).

The mobile body portion is combined with an absorption and storage member(200) by a combination portion(140). The absorption and storage member(200) is installed on an upper portion of the mobile portion(100) in order to absorb and store polluted particles. The absorption and storage member(200) is formed with an absorption portion, the first filter portion(220), a fine absorption portion, the second filter portion(240), a blower portion(250), and an absorption and storage body portion(260). The absorption portion is used for absorbing the polluted particles. The first filter(220) and the second filter portion(240) are used for filtering the absorbed particles. The fine absorption portion is connected with the first filter portion(220). The blower portion(250) is connected with the second filter portion(240). The absorption portion, the first filter portion(220), the fine absorption portion, the second filter portion(240), and the blower portion(250) are installed in the absorption and storage body portion(260).

CONSTITUTION: A remote handling mechanism comprises a slide(2), an attachment guide(3) and a coupling rod(4). The slide includes a first insertion section, a second insertion section and a third insertion section installed to be parallel at the lower portion of the slide; a plurality of bearings mounted at the first insertion section and the second insertion section which are opposed to each other; a plurality of guide pipes arranged at the third insertion section in such a manner as to be connected to penetration holes, respectively; and a coupling hole formed at the first insertion section. The attachment guide includes a second support section(32) inserted between the second insertion section and the third insertion section of the slide; a first support section(31) having a guide pipe and a penetrating hole; first and second protection boards mounted at both ends of first and second support sections; and a plurality of coupling holes formed at the second support section so as to correspond to the penetrating hole formed at the third insertion section of the slide. The coupling rod has at an end thereof a screw section to be screw-coupled to coupling holes of the slide and the attachment guide, and at the other end thereof a hexagonal head section.

    • PURPOSE: A method is provided to recycle a used nuclear fuel and to save uranium resources by manufacturing a new sintered body of a nuclear fuel through a drying process of a used nuclear fuel. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of: oxidizing UO2 sintered body containing less than 10 weight % of the total weight of a used UO2 sintered body or plutonium(Pu), cerium(Ce), molybdenum(Mo), zirconium(Zr), neodymium(Nd), barium(Ba), and lantanium(La) at an atmosphere of oxidizable gas to obtain powders of U3O3 family; adding and mixing 0.02 - 5 weight % of one or more of oxide or a compound of aluminum(Al), magnesium(Mg), niobium(Nb), titanium(Ti), lithium(Li), vanadium(V), tin(Sn), silicon(Si), chrome(Cr) to manufacture a powdered mixture; manufacturing granules from the powdered mixture; compressing the granules in a shape to manufacture a shaped body; and heating the shaped body at the atmosphere of a reducible gas to be sintered for over an hour at a sintering temperature of over 1500 deg.C.
