    • PURPOSE: A surface roughness corrected method and apparatus for on-line measuring of oil amount is provided to achieve improved accuracy, while minimizing influence of surface roughness to the measurement of oil amount coated onto the surface of iron. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step of simultaneously radiating, onto an iron, an infrared light of wavelength absorbed into an oil coated to the iron and an infrared light of wavelength which is not absorbed into the oil; a second step of simultaneously measuring the oil amount coated to the surface of the iron and surface roughness, by measuring the intensity of reflected light resulted from two infrared lights reflected from the surface of the iron, respectively; and a third step of correcting the oil amount measured in the second step, in accordance with the result of measurement of surface roughness. An apparatus comprises infrared laser radiation units(1a,1b) for radiating infrared light to the surface of an iron(8); a plane reflector mirror(5) interposed between infrared laser radiation units and the iron; a parallel ray lens(6) interposed between the plane reflector mirror and the iron; a focusing lens(9) for focusing the reflected light reflected through the rear surface of the plane reflector mirror; and detectors(11a,11b) for detecting the reflected light focused through the focusing lens.

    • PURPOSE: A method for measuring a dew point is provided to secure a quality through an appropriate adjustment of humidity of a production process line by measuring a dew point on-line. CONSTITUTION: A moisture content is measured in a state of saturated vapor pressure of sampled gas, and a dew point is calculated. A ratio of main molecular weight to a relative amount is calculated in measuring the content with respect to water molecules, and a measurement of the moisture content is carried out by a standardized formula regardless of a volume of the sampled gas picked by an automatic gas sampling unit(50), to thereby secure a quality reproduction through an appropriate adjustment of humidity of a production process lien by measuring a dew point on-line.

    • PURPOSE: A method for charging Fe-Mn or Fe-Cr alloy iron is provided to manufacture glass beads of Fe-Mn or Fe-Cr alloy iron for analyzing fluorescence X-rays without damage of platinum container, and a method for manufacturing the glass beads of Fe-Mn or Fe-Cr alloy iron using the alloy iron charging method is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method for charging Fe-Mn or Fe-Cr alloy iron into a platinum container during manufacture of glass beads for analyzing constituents of Fe-Mn or Fe-Cr alloy iron using fluorescence X-rays is characterized in that the flux is again charged into the platinum container so that the alloy iron powder sample, oxidizer and flux charged into the lower part of the platinum container are covered by the flux after mixing and charging a Fe-Mn or Fe-Cr alloy iron powder sample and oxidizer having a lower melting point than the flux into the upper central part of the flux so that a mixture of the alloy iron powder sample and oxidizer does not directly contact with the platinum container after charging flux into a platinum container. The method for manufacturing glass beads of Fe-Mn or Fe-Cr alloy iron comprises a step of oxidizing alloy iron by reacting the alloy iron with the oxidizer at a temperature that is higher than the melting point of oxidizer, but lower than the melting point of flux as maintaining the state that a Fe-Mn or Fe-Cr alloy iron powder sample does not directly contact with a platinum container; a step of melting the alloy iron sample by increasing temperature of the oxidized alloy iron to a point higher than the melting point of the flux so that the oxidized alloy iron is reacted with the flux; and a step of forming glass beads by heating the melted alloy iron sample using high frequency, burner or ordinary manner used in manufacturing other glass beads, and cooling the formed glass beads.
