M-ary(여기서, M은 1이상의 자연수) 변조 방식으로 변조된 복수의 신호를 수신하는 수신 장치의 복조 방법에서, 제1 채널의 채널 주파수 응답 전력과 제2 채널의 채널 주파수 응답 전력을 비교하고, 비교 결과에 기초하여 M개의 기준 신호를 선택하고, 선택된 M개의 기준 신호 각각과 쌍을 이루는 대응 신호를 선택한 후, 기준 신호 및 대응 신호 쌍으로 구성된 M개의 신호쌍으로부터 송신 신호를 추정한다. 따라서, 연산 복잡도가 종래의 O(M 2 )에서 O(M)으로 감소하게 된다

    • PURPOSE: A channel estimation and equalization method and a system are provided to reduce a channel estimation error by inserting a pilot signal into a protection interval of the OFDM symbol and using a sequence included in the pilot signal. CONSTITUTION: In a device, a parallel converter(110) divides and outputs a received signal into a protection section signal and an effective symbol interval signal. A first channel estimator(120) receives the protection section signal, and it estimates an impulse response of channel and outputs it. A channel equalization part(150) equalizes channel distortion of an effective symbol interval signal by using the impulse response value outputted from the first channel estimator, and it outputs the equalized signal. A second channel estimating unit(200) receives the signal outputted from the effective symbol interval signal and the channel equalization part. The second channel estimating unit estimates a frequency response to the effective symbol interval signal and outputs a frequency response of effective symbol interval signal.

    • A correlation apparatus for frequency synchronization in a broadband wireless access communication system and a correlation method thereof are provided to improve the frequency synchronization performance by performing the frequency synchronization according to the highest correlation value. A frequency synchronizing unit(300) includes a delay and conjugate complex processor(350) and a correlator(340). The delay and conjugate complex processor delays as much as the predetermined interval after the FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) and generates a first signal by multiplying the signal after the FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) processing by the conjugate complex processed reception signal. The correlation unit receives a first signal, a second signal, and a third signal, and obtains the highest correlation value by producing the differential correlation value about the first signal and third signal. The second signal is generated by multiplying the conjugate complex of the reference signal by the delayed signal based on the reference signal. The third signal is produced by the signal delaying the second signal by the conjugate complex signal. A frequency controller(330) performs the frequency synchronization according to the highest correlation value.

    • PURPOSE: A frequency synchronization device of an OFDM system is provided to improve performance degradation in inferior channel environment by applying a weighting value according to the correlation period of an OFDM multiple path. CONSTITUTION: A channel estimator(100) obtains a main path from a channel impulse response value, each delay time of the main path, and power of the main path and an echo path. A correlator(200) obtains a first correlation value between a first guard period and a first copying period, a second correlation value between a first overlapping period and a second overlapping period, and a third correlation value between a second guard period and a second copying period. A weighting value calculating part(300) obtains a first, a second, and a third weighting value by using noise power.
