    • A method for transmitting and receiving signals in a communication system are provided to implement various signal transmit-receive schemes to transmit and receive signals between a base station and a mobile station by presenting hybrid link periods for signal transmission and reception in a communication system which uses a relay communication scheme. A frame comprises the first hybrid link period(610), a downlink period(620), and the second hybrid link period(630). The first hybrid link period and the second hybrid link period support a 2-phase relay scheme, a 3-phase relay scheme, and a 4-phase relay scheme. The downlink period supports the 3-phase relay scheme and the 4-phase relay scheme. During the first hybrid link period, an RS(Relay Station) receives signals from a BS(Base Station) and an MS(Mobile Station) at the same time. During the second hybrid link period, the RS transmits signals to the BS and the MS at the same time. During the downlink period, the BS transmits a signal to the RS when the 3-phase relay scheme is applied. In case the 4-phase relay scheme is used, the RS transmits a signal to the MS during the downlink period or the BS transmits a signal to the RS during the downlink period.

    • An apparatus and a method for allocating resources in a communication system are provided to increase throughput by feeding the minimum CQIs(Channel Quality Indicators) back to a BS(Base Station) so that resources can be allocated through a subband having a high CQI. Each MS periodically transmits a CQI feedback message containing the CQIs of allocated subbands to a BS(211). Receiving these CQI feedback messages from MSs, the BS allocates resources on the basis of the CQIs contained in the received messages(213) and transmits data according to the allocated resources(215). The BS selects the minimum CQI among the CQIs contained in the received CQI feedback messages(217). Then the BS transmits the selected CQI to the MSs together with the index of a subband having the minimum CQI(219). Each MS compares the minimum CQI with a CQI measured for a subband through which the data were transmitted. Depending on a comparison result, each MS determines the CQI of a subband to be transmitted to the BS(221). Then the each MS transmits a CQI feedback message containing the determined CQI to the BS(223). Based on the CQI contained in each received CQI feedback message, the BS allocates resources to each MS(225).

    • PURPOSE: An apparatus for resource allocation of a base station based on traffic pattern information and a method thereof are provided to shore a resource when a femto base station uses a resource of a macro base station. CONSTITUTION: When a femto BS(Base Station) uses a resource of a macro base station through sharing, a transceiver(710) receives traffic property information from the macro base station. Based on the traffic attribute information, a control unit(720) selects a resource. A hopping weight calculator(724) calculates the hopping weight value based on the traffic attribute information. According to the calculated hopping weight value, a band selection unit(726) selects a service sub band or frequency band based on probability.
