    • A method for evaluating a low gray level image in a plasma display is provided to evaluate quality of an image with a low gray level by considering brightness distribution of a small number of pixels which are temporally and spatially dispersed. The spatial brightness distribution of the luminous pixels among the small number of pixels is calculated according to the input gray level(S110). The temporal brightness distribution of the luminous pixel among the small number of pixels is calculated according to the input gray level(S120). The time-space brightness distribution of the luminous pixel is calculated by multiplying the spatial brightness distribution by the temporal brightness distribution(S130). Uniform distribution of the brightness is calculated according to a position of the luminous pixel for each channel of RGB(S140). The uniform distribution of the brightness is calculated according to the position of the luminous pixel about the sum of the RGB channel(S150). The evaluation value of the final low gray level reproduction image is calculated by summing the uniform distribution of the brightness according to the position of the luminous pixel about the sum of the RGB channel(S160).
