    • An embedded software test device using an emulator and a method thereof are provided to test software automatically. A host system(10) includes an embedded software analysis engine(11), a test case generating engine(12), a test execution engine(13) and a test result analysis engine(14). The embedded software analysis engine receives a source code or an object code of embedded software(41) from an OS(Operating System) sever(40). The test case generating engine generates a test case of script format for testing the embedded software, and the test case can be executed at an emulator(30). The test execution engine provides the emulator with the test case provided from the test case generating engine, and controls the emulator to be operated. The test result analysis engine receives from the emulator the result as to the execution of the test case, and analyzes the provided result. In addition, the test result analysis engine makes the reports as to the test coverage, the fault information and the performance.

    • A method for providing an IP multicast service in a mobile WiMAX network and a system thereof are provided to allocate wireless air resources between terminals and a RAS(Radio Access Station) when plural terminals want the reception of the same multicast service, thereby minimizing a waste of the wireless resources. A method for providing an IP(Internet Protocol) multicast service in a mobile WiMAX(Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) network comprises the following steps of: transmitting multicast traffic on wireless resources allocated to an MS1(Mobile Station1)(10a) to an MS2(10b) through a single route when the MS2 requests the same service as the multicast service of the MS1 after transmitting the multicast traffic according to the multicast service request of the MS1 connected to a mobile WiMAX network; and stopping the reception of the multicast traffic on the wireless resources allocated to the MS1 when the MS2 requests the release of the multicast service after stopping the transmission of the multicast traffic to the MS1 according to the multicast service release request of the MS1. The method for transmitting the multicast traffic through the single route comprises the following steps of: allowing the MS1 to request the multicast service to receive the multicast traffic; checking the wireless resources and a data transmission route for the multicast traffic when the MS2 requests the multicast service; and transmitting the multicast traffic on the checked wireless resources through the data transmission route.

    • A PON (Passive Optical Network) and method employing CDMA for upstream communications to avoid complicated systems such as Machine Access Control. The downstream communications are broadcast in a non-CDMA protocol such as TDM. The PON includes: A PON (Passive Optical Network) employing CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) comprising: a plurality of ONTs (Optical Network Terminals) corresponding to subscribers; WDM filters for dividing upstream and downstream wavelengths; an OLT (Optical Line Terminal) for receiving optical signals transmitted from the ONTs and transmitting the received optical signals to a higher network, the OLT transmitting signals transmitted from the higher network into ONTs; and an optical coupler, wherein: each ONT includes a first switching unit connected to at least one lower interface, such as computers, a level transformer for converting Ethernet signals having levels of '0' and '1' into data signals of levels of '-1' and '+1', a first code generator for generating CDMA codes as specific codes so as to discriminate each ONT, and a first multiplier for performing spread spectrum function by multiplying the data signals by the CDMA codes, thereby transmitting Ethernet signals transmitted from the lower interfaces into the higher network; and the OLT includes an optical receiver for receiving optical signals transmitted from the ONTs, a branching filter for branching upstream CDMA signals received through the optical receiver, a plurality of second code generators for generating codes for despread, a plurality of second multipliers for multiplying received signals by the codes generated from the second code generators, and a plurality of data decider for extracting data through correlation calculation, thereby transmitting Ethernet signals transmitted from higher interfaces into the higher network.
