    • A video decoding EC(Error Concealment) method and a decoding device using the same are provided to perform more exact EC by using double iteration technique and perform the EC by using an output signal of a decoder without big design change in the decoder. A bit stream of an NAL(Network Abstraction Layer) is decoded(402). Each frame is decoded(404). Each slice of each frame is decoded, and a macro block of each slice is decoded(406). If a macro block(or a slice) where an error is generated is generated, the slice with the error is decoded(408,410). An EC operation of the macro block with the error is performed by performing a first iteration process of a double iteration process(412). After that, an EC operation of the macro block with the error is performed by performing a secondary iteration process(414).

    • A method and an apparatus for concealing a frame loss in video decoding are provided to restore a loss of a video more efficiently when a loss by image frame occurs due to an error on a video, and prevent the error from being transmitted by an image frame which is transmitted later. A method for concealing a frame loss in video decoding comprises the following steps of: inputting an image frame(602); decoding the image frame in a frame decoder(604); determining whether there is an error frame(606); restoring a lost image frame where the frame error occurs by macro block by using a previous frame if the image frame is lost due to the frame error, and generating a restored image frame substituting the lost image frame(608); and outputting the restored image frame(610).

A macroblock of each slide is decoded(408), and in this case if there is no error, the decoded macroblocks are stored in an output buffer so as to be outputted as a restored bit stream later(420). If a macroblock or a slice has an error, the slice with an error is decoded(410) and an operation for concealing the error of the macroblock is performed(412).
