    • The invention provides a process for the preparation of organic compounds which comprises the dehydration step of distilling away water from a polar organic solvent solution containing an organic compound and water to thereby lower the water concentration of the solution to a prescribed level or below, characterized by comprising the step of distilling away water together with the polar organic solvent while adding a polar organic solvent to the solution or the dehydration step of conducting two or more times the operation of adding a polar organic solvent to the solution and then distilling away water together with the polar organic solvent; and a process for the preparation of organic compounds by which an objective organic compound can be efficiently isolated in a high isolation yield from a polar organic solvent solution containing the organic compound, water, and, in certain cases, a compound which generates, on coming into contact with water or the like, a substance accelerating the decomposition of the organic compound.
