    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic charge image development, the toner giving sufficient image density and achieving reduction in an amount of toner adhesion per unit area on a recording medium such as paper, and to provide a production method of the toner for electrostatic charge image development and an image forming method.SOLUTION: The production method of a toner includes steps of: preparing a first liquid by dissolving or dispersing a toner material containing a binder resin and/or a binder resin precursor in an organic solvent; preparing a second liquid by dispersing the first liquid in an aqueous medium containing a dispersant; forming particles by removing the organic solvent from the second liquid; washing the particles; preparing a third liquid by, while dispersing or after dispersing the washed particles in an aqueous medium, heating the medium to a temperature equal to or higher than the Tg of the toner and equal to or lower than Tg+25°C; forming base particles by adding a charge control agent to the third liquid; and obtaining a toner by adding an external additive to the base particles. The toner has a cross-sectional porosity of 0.1% or more and 15.0% or less.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing toner having excellent chargeability and capable of suppressing decrease in the chargeability even when the toner or base particles are exposed to a high-temperature and high-humidity atmosphere.
      SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing toner includes steps of: preparing a first liquid by dissolving or dispersing a toner material containing a binder resin and/or a precursor of the binder resin in an organic solvent; preparing a second liquid by dispersing the first liquid in an aqueous medium containing a dispersant; producing particles by removing the organic solvent from the second liquid; washing the particles; preparing a third liquid by dispersing the washed particles in an aqueous medium and heating the second aqueous medium while or after dispersing the washed particles therein; and producing base particles by adding a charge controlling agent to the third liquid. The ratio of the BET specific surface area of the base particles after stored in an environment at 40°C and 70%RH for two weeks to the BET specific surface area of particles included in the third liquid is 0.60 or more and 1.00 or less.
