The steering device P is provided with a bearing device 25b for rotatably supporting one end in the axial direction of a shaft including the small gear 24; a housing 32 having a support recess 33 for supporting the bearing device 25b so as to be deviated in a direction in which an inter-central distance of the small gear 24 and the large gear 23 is varied; and a leaf spring 34 for urging the small gear 24 through the bearing device 25b in a direction in which the inter-central distance is shortened. The leaf spring 34 has a portion arranged between the back surface of the engagement part of the small gear 24 and the large gear 23 in the small gear 24 and an inner wall surface 32a of the housing 32.
