    • The present invention provides a method and system for calculating image recognition rate, which automatically calculates the recognition rate according to recognizing result obtained from an embedded image processing system whose images are provided by an image controlling apparatus. The image controlling apparatus provides an image frame each time according to a control signal issued by the embedded image processing system. The embedded image processing system receives the image frame and recognizes the same. After a plurality of image frames are recognized, it is capable of calculating the recognition rate according to the recognizing result of the embedded image processing system and the recognition rate is capable of being utilized to be a basis for optimizing the parameters used in recognizing logic of the embedded image processing system.

    • The present invention discloses a lane departure warning method, which functions to choose the data acquiring source according to brightness of the environment surrounding a vehicle and weather status so as to reduce the erroneous judgment of lane departure during image processing and analyzing. In addition, the present invention also presents a lane departure warning apparatus using the foregoing method, which comprises at least a first information acquisition unit, at least a second information acquisition and a information processing/information processing/controlling unit. The first information acquisition unit disposed on the vehicle is capable of capturing the image around the vehicle while the second information acquisition unit disposed on the bottom of the vehicle is capable of capturing image under the bottom of the vehicle. The image acquired from the first information acquisition unit and the second information acquisition unit is then sent to the processing and information processing/controlling unit for data processing.

    • An apparatus and method for collecting dust is disclosed. Preferably, the dust to be collected is chalk dust. The apparatus includes a housing supporting an eraser head and having a cavity in fluid communication with a suction device. Interposed between the cavity and the suction device is a collection chamber assembly. A matrix of apertures in the front wall are selectively openable and closeable by a controller in response to the orientation of the eraser. When the eraser is moved across a chalkboard to create airborne chalk dust, the apertures are selectively opened by the controller, the suction device urging the airborne chalk dust through the apertures, through the cavity, and into the collection chamber assembly where it is filtered and stored. The method includes the steps of providing the apparatus of the invention, energizing the suction device, and moving the eraser across a chalkboard to collect chalk dust.

    • The present invention discloses a lane departure warning method, which functions to choose the data acquiring source according to brightness of the environment surrounding a vehicle and weather status so as to reduce the erroneous judgment of lane departure during image processing and analyzing. When the lane departure is occurred, the processing and information processing/controlling unit can operate an alarm unit to generate an alert signal to remind the driver.
