    • A fluid-filled elastic mount wherein an elastic body elastically connecting first and second supports partially defines a fluid chamber filled with a non-compressible fluid. The elastic mount includes an oscillating plate which partially defines the fluid chamber and which is displaceable to change a pressure of the fluid in the fluid chamber, and a permanent magnet disposed on one of opposite sides of the oscillating plate remote from the fluid chamber. The permanent magnet is made of a plastic magnetic material including a magnetic material and a plastic material as a binder for the magnetic material. First and second yoke members are held in contact with opposite magnetic pole faces of the magnet, and cooperate with the magnet to define a close magnetic circuit. The yoke members define therebetween an annular gap in the magnetic circuit, in which an annular moving coil is received. The coil is fixed to the oscillating plate, to oscillate the oscillating plate upon energization of the coil. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing the elastic mount, in which a spacing between the yoke members is filled with the plastic magnetic material in a plasticized state, which is then solidified to provide the permanent magnet.

    • A fluid-filled elastic mount is disclosed which includes a first and a second support member, an elastic body for interconnecting the support members and partially defining a pressure-receiving chamber, and a partition structure which cooperates with a first and a second flexible diaphragm to define a first and a second equilibrium chamber. The elastic mount has a first and a second orifice passage for fluid communication between the pressure-receiving chamber and the respective equilibrium chambers. The elastic mount further has an air chamber on one side of the second diaphragm remote from the second equilibrium chamber, and an operating chamber separated from the air chamber by a biasing elastic member. The operating chamber is subjected to a vacuum pressure as needed to move the second diaphragm away from the opening of the second orifice passage, which is normally closed by the second diaphragm due to a biasing force of the biasing elastic member. The elastic mount further includes a rigid planar member interposed between a top plate of the biasing elastic member and the second diaphragm. Between the rigid planar member and the top plate of the biasing elastic member is formed an air passage for permitting an air flow into a central portion of abutting faces thereof upon abutting contact therebetween.

    • A method of manufacturing a fluid-filled elastic mount which includes an electric body flexibly connecting an inner and an outer sleeve, means for defining a pressure-receiving chamber and an equilibrium chamber which are filled with a non-compressible fluid, and means for defining an orifice passage for fluid connection between the two chambers, the equilibrium chamber being defined partially by a rigid member and partially by a flexible diaphragm which permits volumetric changes of he equilibrium chamber. The present method includes the steps of: (a) preparing a mount body having the pressure-receiving and equilibrium chambers and orifice passage; (b) forming at least one injection hole through the rigid member partially defining the equilibrium chamber, such that the injection hole or hole is/are open on an outer surface of the elastic mount other than an outer circumferential surface of the outer sleeve; (c) injecting the non-compressible fluid through the injection hole(s), into the equilibrium and pressure-receiving chambers and the orifice passage; and (d) fluid-tightly closing the injection hole(s) upon completion of filling of the equilibrium and pressure-receiving chambers and orifice passage.

    • A mounting device such as an engine mount for automobiles, which receives various types of vibrations over a wide frequency range, is required to exhibit a low dynamic spring constant with respect to the input vibrations in a middle- to high-frequency range, while assuring high damping characteristics with respect to the input vibrations in a low frequency range. The present invention provides a fluid-filled mounting device wherein a pressure-receiving chamber (38) which receives vibrations and a variable-volume equilibrium chamber (40) are disposed between a first and a second support member (10, 14) which are elastically connected to each other by an elastic rubber body (26), such that the pressure-receiving and equilibrium chambers are filled with a predetermined non-compressible fluid, and are held in communication with each other via an orifice passage (46), and wherein a movable member (54) is movably accommodated in the pressure-receiving chamber (38) while a support member is provided for preventing the movable member (54) from contacting the inner wall of the pressure-receiving chamber (38) whereby a resonance portion having a predetermined space is formed around the movable member (54), so that the fluid is caused to flow through the resonance portion upon application of the vibrations. The mounting device according to the present invention can exhibit a high damping effect against the input vibrations in a low frequency range, due to a resonance of the fluid flowing through the orifice passage (46), and can also provide a low dynamic spring constant against the input vibrations in a middle- to high-frequency range, due to a resonance of the fluid flowing through the resonance portion formed around the movable member (54).
