    • An electronic system capable of controlling a backlight and a backlight adjustment method thereof. The electronic system comprises a portable display device and a host device, wherein in a state that the portable display device is docked on the host device, the host device transmits to the portable display device an inputted backlight brightness value setting information through a I2C bus, and the portable display device reads-out a pre-stored brightness value data corresponding to the transmitted backlight brightness setting information, and adjusts the backlight lamp based on the read-out brightness value data. Accordingly, since the portable display device can control the brightness value of the backlight lamp, a user's inconvenience caused by a dual control system can be solved.

    • A mobile display device capable of communicating with a host computer depending upon whether it is coupled with a docking station. The mobile display device includes a wired module for receiving the wired input signal applied from the docking station and converting the wired input signal into a first video signal; a wireless module for converting the wired or wireless input signal applied from the host computer into a second video signal; a display panel for reproducing the first video signal and the second video signal; and a display controller for converting the first and second video signals applied to the display panel from the wired module and the wireless module depending upon whether the mobile display device is coupled with the docking station, and applying to the display panel a control signal for turning on and off images reproduced from the display panel upon the above-described conversions.

    • A method for charging a battery, including (a) stopping the charging of the battery after the battery is charged for a predetermined unit charging time; (b) measuring a voltage charged in the battery after a lapse of a stabilizing time measured from the stopping of the charging of the battery in (a); (c) determining whether a voltage difference between the currently measured voltage of the battery and a just previously measured voltage thereof is within a predetermined reference value while (a) and (b) are repeated; and (d) stopping the charging of the battery after (a), (b), (c) are repeated until the voltage difference is within the reference value by a predetermined number of times. Thus the present invention provides a method and a system for charging a battery, in which the voltage actually charged in the battery is measured while the battery is charged, so that the battery is stably and fully charged.
