摘要： A digital content management apparatus is capable of collectively displaying a list of content present on a network in an easy-to-use way. A content management server determines whether identical content is present when creating a display list of content managed by plural, different a audio video devices connected to the network. When identical content is present, the server creates a display list such that identical content is displayed according to designated conditions, such as in order of transmission speed of servers, based on a setting file.

摘要： A bridge apparatus is disclosed, the bridge apparatus being connected between a first network and a second network and achieving a communication between equipment connected to the first network and equipment connected to the second network. This apparatus accepts communication from the equipment over the first network to equipment disconnected from the second network, and then, preserves contents of the communication even in the case where the equipment over the second network has been disconnected from the second network for reasons such as electric power cut. In the case where the disconnected equipment has been connected to the second network again, this apparatus transmits the accepted contents of the communication to the reconnected equipment.

摘要： A service providing apparatus which advertises first service description on a network and which provides a first service associated with the first service description. A definition table is prepared to define a condition on which a function of the first service is extended utilizing a second service associated with second service description and a method of calling the second service. The second service which satisfies the condition is searched for referring to the definition table, and the first service description is updated based on the second service description associated with the searched second service. Moreover, the service description is advertised on the network. The second service is called in response to a service request based on the service description of the advertised first service, and a response from the second service is received. A response to the service request is generated based on the response from the received second service.
