    • The present invention relates to a wet type dust collection device for a vacuum cleaner. The wet type dust collection device comprises: a dust receptacle having at least two dust collection areas with water inlets respectively and a water distribution flow path for connecting the water inlets to be communicated with each other; and a dust receptacle cover coupled to the dust receptacle and provided with a sealing member at a lower portion, the sealing member being coupled to at least one of the water inlets in an openable and closable manner. Thus, a user can fill a number of dust collection areas with water at the same time simply by filling a single dust collection area with water. Moreover, the sealing member blocks the water inlets during the operation of a vacuum cleaner to prevent the transport of water between the dust collection areas. Accordingly, a reduction in the efficiency of dust separation due to the transport of water while the vacuum cleaner is in use can be avoided, and exhausting air is facilitated. Also, the efficiency of dust separation is enhanced as the water that is filled inside the dust receptacle powerfully collects scattered dust while spinning.
