摘要： A plant for producing Fischer-Tropsch liquids and electrical power with greatly reduced emissions of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere is made up of a syngas generator unit, an air separation unit, a Fischer-Tropsch unit, a C02 removal unit, and a combined cycle electricity generation unit. Each of Fischer-Tropsch liquids, carbon dioxide, and electrical power can be recoverable under proper economic conditions. Electrical power is recoverable by the use of a gas turbine fueled by predominantly hydrogen and a steam turbine powered by steam generated by cooling exhaust gases from the gas turbine. Sequestration of C02 and fueling the gas turbine with hydrogen reduces the amount of greenhouse gases emitted to the atmosphere.

By integrating a Fischer-Tropsch (FT) hydrocarbon production facility with an electrical power generating facility, peak-load power demand can be met by reducing the temperature of the FT reactor thereby increasing the quantity of tail gases and using FT tail gases to fuel a gas turbine generator set. 摘要： Catalyst particles are separated from the wax in a Fisher-Tropsch reactor by feeding a portion of the reactor slurry to a dynamic settler which does not require any pump. As the slurry flows down a pipe in the center of the settler, the slurry flows into the surrounding annular region at the bottom of the settler. The heavier catalyst particles settle down and are removed as the slurry at the bottom of the settler is recycled back to the reactor. The wax rises up in the annular section and this clarified wax is removed by a wax outlet pipe. In an embodiment with an expanded diameter section above the Fisher-Tropsch reactor an additional dynamic settler can be placed inside this section. The Fischer-Tropsch catalyst can be regenerated by purging the catalyst with an inert gas for a period of time and by treating the catalyst with naphtha.

摘要： The invention is directed to the preparation of higher hydrocarbons starting with lower hydrocarbons. A hydrocarbon stream (1) is desulfurized in zone (2), mixed with steam in line (4), the total mixture is subjected to steam reforming in zone (5) to obtain a mixture of hydrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, which is treated in zone (8) to remove carbon dioxide. The synthesis gas (12) is subjected to Fischer-Tropsch process in zone (15) with iron catalyst, promoted by an alkali metal, preferably potassium, and optionally copper. The effluent from the Fischer-Tropsch process is subjected to a separation process in zone (18) to obtain a gaseous stream (19) which is recycled to the steam reforming zone (5), a liquid gasoline boiling hydrocarbon stream, light wax (22) and water/alcohol mixture. Heavy wax (26) from the Fischer-Tropsch process is subjected to cracking.
