    • A two-member assembling structure in which a clip mounted to a pedestal of an attachment member is inserted into a clip hole of a mating member, the clip includes a pedestal coupling portion coupled to a rib of the pedestal, an engaging arm adapted to pass through the clip hole while undergoing elastic deformation when the clip is inserted into or removed of the clip hole, an engaging surface formed on an outer side surface of the engaging arm and capable of engaging with a hole edge of the clip hole, a stable portion extending from the engaging surface and opposed to the rib of the pedestal so as to be capable of contacting therewith, and a regulating portion protruding toward the rib of the pedestal from a position in the vicinity of the stable portion. As the pedestal of the attachment member, there are prepared at least three kinds of pedestals for low retention, medium retention, and high retention. The rib of the pedestal for low retention is provided with a relief hole allowing entrance of the regulating portion of the clip, and the rib of the pedestal for high retention is provided with a protrusion for receiving the stable portion of the clip.

    • A hole plug for closing a through-hole formed in a compartment wall may include an attaching portion formed from a synthetic resin and a cover portion integrated with the attaching portion at a central portion thereof. The attaching portion can be inserted into the through-hole so as to engage the inner surface of the compartment wall. The cover portion has a size and shape that can enclose the through-hole and has a peripheral edge portion that can closely contact the outer surface of the compartment wall. The cover portion has a thickened portion that is formed in the peripheral edge portion thereof or in a vicinity of the peripheral edge portion and that can maintain a size and configuration of the peripheral edge portion when an external force is applied to the cover portion. The cover portion has a thinned portion that is formed between the thickened portion and the central portion integrated with the attaching portion and that can undergo elastic buckling deformation when an external force is applied thereto.

    • A clip may include an anchor portion that is configured to be inserted into an insertion hole formed in a subject member. The anchor portion has at least a pair of pillars that are positioned across an axis of the anchor portion, and flexible strips that are respectively connected to the pillars so as to be projected outward therefrom. The pillars are configured to be flexed about proximal ends thereof in a direction in which the pillars can intersect with each other. The flexible strips are configured to engage a periphery of the insertion hole formed in the subject member when the anchor portion is inserted into the insertion hole, so as to hold the anchor portion on the subject member with a retention force. The pillars can be applied with a flexing force when an extraction force greater than the retention force of the anchor portion is applied to the anchor portion, so as to be flexed in the direction in which the pillars can intersect with each other.

    • For receiving and stopping movement of a movable member approaching to a fixed member in order to absorb impacts, a cushion clip includes a clip body capable of being mounted by inserting into a mounting hole formed in one of the fixed member and the movable member, and a cushion body capable of absorbing impacts by resilient deformation. The clip body made of rigid resin material and the cushion body made of soft resin material are integrally joined to each other at a mutual joint portion by a two-material molding process. At the mutual joint portion, the clip body includes a base portion entering into inside of the cushion body, and a concave-convex configuration, such as ribs, is provided to the base portion for increasing a contact area with the cushion body.
