    • An image forming process of a silver halide photographic material comprising a glass support having thereon a silver halide emulsion layer is disclosed, the process comprising exposing with laser beam spot with a diameter of 0.05 to 5 .mu.m and developing the exposed photographic material with a developer, wherein the silver halide emulsion layer contains silver halide grains having an average grain size of 0.08 to 0.2 .mu.m and a chloride content of at least 50 mol %; the developer containing a developing agent selected from hydroquinone and ascorbic acid, and a developing agent selected from p-methyl-aminophenol, 1-phenyl-3-pyrazolidone and 1-pheny-4-dimethyl-3-pyrazolidone; and the developed photographic material having a contrast of 4.8 to 12.
