摘要： An information playback apparatus which can perform scan playback capable of being performed with finer settings. When a unit cycle B and a playback time A within the unit cycle B are specified and the start of the scan playback of playback data recorded in a DVD is specified, playback control data having address information and information of the playback order appended to each piece of data in the smallest basic units of the playback data is read out from the DVD, whereby the scan playback of the playback data is performed by managing the playback time A in every unit cycle B. Also, when access-inhibited data is present within the playback data, the scan playback of playback data is performed except the access-inhibited data.

摘要： There is disclosed a process for producing D-pantoic acid or D-pantothenic acid utilizing the capability of the microorganism to synthesize D-pantoic acid or D-pantothenic acid. According to this process, (a) D-pantoic acid is biosynthesized from various carbon sources such as glucose to accumulate it in the culture medium, or (b) .beta.-alanine is contacted with the microorganism by, for example, adding .beta.-alanine to the culture medium, to cause condensation of the biosynthesized D-pantoic acid with .beta.-alanine to accumulate D-pantothenic acid in the medium.

摘要： A process for producing a saccharide carboxylic acid or a salt thereof characterized in that a microorganism belonging to the genus Pseudogluconobacter and capable of oxidizing a hydroxymethyl group and/or hemiacetal hydroxyl-associated carbon atom to a carboxyl group, or an artifact derived from the microorganism, is permitted to act on a hydroxymethyl and/or hemiacetal hydroxyl-containing saccharide or saccharide derivative to produce and accumulate the corresponding carboxylic acid and the carboxylic acid so accumulated is harvested and novel saccharide carboxylic acids produced by the above production method, and by the process, from a broad range of saccharides, saccharic acids having carboxyl groups derived from hydroxymethyl and/or hemiacetal OH groups can be produced with high selectivity and in good yield, the resultant saccharide acids are resistant to enzymatic degradation and have improved water solubility, among other characteristics.

The present invention provides an industrially advantageous, versatile method for producing 2KGA that shortens the overall culture time, and reduces the amounts of starting medium materials and culture waste.
