摘要： These disclosed embodiments describe a method for a UE and network to perform normal HO and conditional HO. In one novel aspect, if one type of HO command, e. g. conditional HO command is received, UE begins to verify the conditions of the candidate cell (s). If the condition for at least one candidate cell is met, UE considers this candidate cell as the target cell to perform handover. Then UE sends the HO start indication message to the source cell indicating that UE will detach from the source cell and initiate the random access procedure towards the target cell. From the network side, the source gNB determine whether to perform normal HO or conditional HO. If conditional HO is performed, the source gNB receives one or more HO request ACK from one or more candidate gNBs. Then the source gNB generate the conditional HO considering the information received from the one or more candidate gNBs. In one embodiment, the SN status transfer procedure is initiated upon reception of the SN status transfer request from one of the candidate gNB; in one embodiment, the SN status transfer procedure is initiated upon reception of the HO start indication message from the UE side.

摘要： Systems and methods for downlink scheduling in wireless communications systems are described. In some embodiments, a method includes: applying channel prediction at a transmitter for transmitting information to one or more mobile devices; predicting channel state information for a channel over which the information is transmitted, the channel state information being based, at least, on the channel prediction; determining a precoding matrix to apply to the information, the determining the precoding matrix being based, at least, on predicted channel state information; and scheduling transmission of the information to the one or more mobile devices based, at least, on an asymptotic ergodic rate for the one or more mobile devices. The asymptotic ergodic rate can be based on large-scale channel behavior and a maximum Doppler shift between the mobile devices.

摘要： Signalling and protocol methods are proposed to allow positioning operations with signals of the cellular system for a UE in idle or inactive mode. In one novel aspect, UL-PRS is embedded in the RACH procedure: aset of RACH preambles with the functionality of UL-PRS are defined. These preambles are sent by the UE to the serving gNB to initiate a RACH procedure, and the following signalling could convey the measurement results. In another novel aspect, positioning operations on the network side are triggered through an AMF. The AMF may elect not to bring the UE to connected mode before transferring the location request to an LMF; instead, the AMF may indicate that the UE is in idle mode and it expects to page the UE with a subsequent message from the LMF.

摘要： Apparatus and methods are provided to for RRM measurement in the new radio (NR) access system. In one novel aspect, multiple transmission (TX) beams are measured by a user equipment (UE) with multiple receiving (RX) beams, stores the measured TX-RX pair in a measurement matrix, and calculates a consolidation measurement for each cell based on a consolidation rule. In one embodiment, the consolidation rule indicates generating a RX consolidated vector by consolidating all RX beams with the same TX beam ID, and subsequently, generating the consolidation measurement for the cell based on the RX consolidated vector. In another embodiment, the measurement matrix is layer-3 filtered and consolidated. In yet another embodiment, the UE sends a measurement report, either contains the consolidated measurement or the measurement vector, to the NR network based on the consolidation measurement. In one embodiment, the network performs consolidation on the received measurement vector.

摘要： Apparatus and methods are provided to support dual protocol stacks to achieve 0ms mobility interruption time in LTE and NR system. In one novel aspect, a UE support both normal type of PDCP entity and a new type of PDCP entity. The 'extended type' of PDCP entity includes two security-handling modules and is able to perform integrity verification and deciphering separately for both the source cell and the target cell. In one embodiment, upon reception of the HO command, UE keeps the UP protocol for the source cell. UE creates a MAC entity for the target cell. Then UE modifies/extends the PDCP entities to include more PDCP functions. UE establishes RLC entities for all the DRBs established. In one embodiment, UE only establishes RLC entities for the DRBs for which extendPDCPis set. Upon reception of the reconfiguration message to release the source cell connection, UE releases the RLC entities and the associated logical channels of the source cell and reconfigure the PDCP entity in accordance with the pdcp-Config , i.e. change the extended PDCP entity to normal PDCP entity.

In one embodiment, both the transmitting PDCP entity and the receiving PDCP entity are extended. Upon reception of RRC reconfiguration message to release the source cell, the RRC layer requests PDCP layer to perform PDCP restoration. 摘要： Aspects of the disclosure can provide an apparatus and method for cell reselection in a New Radio (NR) system. In some examples, the apparatus includes transceiver and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry ranks a priority list of frequencies which correspond to a plurality of cells, wherein the cells are part of a NR system. The plurality of cells can include a current serving cell, one or more inter-frequency cells, and one or more intra-frequency cells. The processing circuitry measures reference signal received power (RSRP) and/or reference signal received quality (RSRQ) of the cells in the priority list of frequencies in an unused synchronization signal block (SSB) time location in a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle. Further, the processing circuitry can select a new serving cell when the measured signal performance of the new serving cell satisfies a cell selection criteria.
