    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic turn-off device for a headlight capable of turning off the headlight to save electric power consumption in traveling (stopping) by an automobile at night, taking a pedestrian and an oncoming vehicle into an account by using only a small light to reduce quantity of light, and being useful for accident prevention. SOLUTION: A turn-on (turn-off) switch for the headlight is provided to each of an acceleration pedal 1 and a speedometer 2. When the automobile is stopped, the switch is turned OFF by detaching a foot from the acceleration pedal 1 and the other switch is then turned OFF after a pointer of the speedometer 2 points zero, and two circuits are broken to turn OFF the headlight 3 and only the small light 4 is turned on. When the automobile is started to travel, the switch is turned ON by pedaling the acceleration pedal 1, and the headlight 3 is turned on just before a forward movement of the automobile.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain strong earthquakeproof construction by reinforcement- connecting orthogonal connecting sections. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing piece 13 mutually bonding rectangularly bent abutting pieces 11, 12 including said bent sections is connected continuously at a central section in the abutting pieces while mounting holes 15 are bored to the abutting pieces 11, 12 in sections with no reinforcing piece 13. Connecting materials 1 formed by protruding engaging pieces 14 formed by folding to the rear sides at both ends of the abutting pieces 11, 12 are used, and the engaging pieces 14 of the connecting materials 1 are engaged with the engaging grooves 21, 31 of a through pillar 2 and a drum pillar 3 at the all orthogonal connecting sections of the through pillar 2 and the drum pillar 3. Bolts 4 are inserted into bolt inserting holes 22, 32 communicated with the opposed connecting materials 1, and both ends of the bolts are clamped by nuts 5 and the connecting materials 1 are fixed.
