    • A thermoplastic elastomer composition containing (A), (B-1) and (B-2) described below and having a total content of (B-1) and (B-2) of 10 to 250 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the content of (A), a complex dynamic viscosity &eegr;*(1) at 250 ° C. of 1.5×105 poise or less and a Newtonian viscosity index n of 0.67 or less, and pellets obtained by using the thermoplastic elastomer composition, and a molded article thereof: (A): a polyolefin-based resin; (B-1): a conjugated diene-based thermoplastic elastomer or its hydrogenated product providing two tan &dgr; peaks within a temperature range of −70 to 30° C. in a temperature dependence curve of tan &dgr; determined by a solid viscoelasticity measurement of the composition obtained by being kneaded with (A); and (B-2): a conjugated diene-based thermoplastic elastomer or its hydrogenated product providing a new single tan &dgr; peak at a temperature which is different from both the tan &dgr; peak temperature of (A) and the tan &dgr; peak temperature of (B-2) within a temperature range of −70 to 30° C. in a temperature dependence curve of tan &dgr; determined by a solid viscoelasticity measurement of the composition obtained by being kneaded with (A).

    • An improved cooking apparatus or cooker which heats and cooks food items in a cooking liquid medium by effectively controlling the temperature of the liquid medium. The cooker starts forcible combustion irrespective of the temperature of the liquid medium detected by a temperature sensor when the operator presses a forcible combustion switch. This system minimizes a time lag between placing food items into the cooking liquid medium and start of combustion, which is attributable to the uneven temperature distribution and convection of the cooking liquid medium, thus efficiently reducing undesirable temperature drop of the cooking liquid medium due to cold food items. Alternatively, the cooker determines presence of food items in the cooking liquid medium according to the downward slope in temperature instead of a press of the forcible combustion switch and automatically starts forcible combustion.

    • A pulse combustion unit for a liquid heating apparatus having a liquid vessel arranged to store an amount of liquid to be heated. The combustion unit includes a base plate mounted on the upper portion of an upright support structure, a pulse combustion burner assembly including a pulse combustion chamber secured to one surface of the base plate and a curved tailpipe having an inner end connected to an exhaust port of the combustion chamber and an outer end connected to the base plate, and an air-fuel mixer head secured to the other surface of the base plate and being in open communication with the interior of the combustion chamber through an opening of the base plate. The liquid vessel is coupled at its side wall with the base plate in such manner that the combustion chamber and tailpipe are arranged in the vessel. An air supply part and a fuel supply part for the mixer head are mounted within a lower portion of the support structure, and an exhaust part for the tailpipe is mounted on the support structure at a position located below the combustion chamber.
