摘要： An apparatus in a Base station (BS) and an apparatus in a Mobile Station (MS) are provided for allocating and requesting, respectively, uplink resources in a wireless communication system. The apparatus in the MS includes a transmitter for sending, to a base station, a predetermined Channel Quality Information CHannel (CQICH) codeword over a pre-allocated CQICH in a silence period, when an uplink bandwidth for an extended real-time Polling Service (ertPS) is not allocated to the mobile station, to inform the base station that the mobile station has data to send; and a receiver for receiving, from the base station, information related to an uplink bandwidth supporting a maximum rate allocated by the base station, in response to the CQICH codeword.

The method includes encoding connection payload information of a first connection payload from the plurality of connection payloads in a first header of the MAC PDU. The method also includes encoding connection payload information of each of a second set of connection payloads from the plurality of connection payloads in a second header of the MAC PDU, wherein the second set of connection payloads includes the plurality of connection payloads excluding the first connection payload. Further, the method sends the MAC PDU with encoded information. Thereafter, the method also includes a procedure to decode connection payload information of a plurality of connection payloads from a Medium Access Control (MAC) Protocol Data Unit (PDU).

摘要： An apparatus and method for transmitting control information to a Relay Station (RS) in a multi-hop relay broadband wireless communication system is disclosed. The apparatus includes a generator, a controller, and a communication unit. The generator generates control information to be transmitted to a lower RS. The controller controls and transmits the control information during a first relay link transmission interval among at least one relay link transmission interval distributed within a frame. The communication unit transmits the control information to the lower RS.

A BS combines data destined for an RS and data to be relayed to an MS via the RS in a payload, distinguishing the data by CIDs, attaches a relay CID to the payload, and sends the payload with the relay CID to the RS. 摘要： Provided is an apparatus and method for transmitting frame information in a wireless communication system using a relay scheme. In a method for transmitting frame information from an upper node in the wireless communication system, downlink section information for communication with the lower relay station for a relay service is transmitted to a lower relay station at the request of the lower relay station for an initial connection. After the initial connection, frame information for communication with the lower relay station for a relay service is transmitted to the lower relay station through the downlink section.
