    • The present invention relates to a method of producing fibreboards using 100% of oil palm trunk (OPT). The present invention also relates to method of producing fibreboards using a mixture comprising OPT, rubber wood (RW) and mixed tropical hardwood (MTH). The method for producing fibreboards using a mixture comprising OPT, rubber wood (RW) and mixed tropical hardwood (MTH) includes the steps of: (i) chipping of oil palm trunk (OPT), rubber wood (RW) and (MTH) within size range of 0.012 to 0.050m; (ii) blending the chipped OPT with RW and MTH chips at a blending ratio of 5 to 50% of chipped OPT, 5 to 50% of RW and 5 to 50% MTH; (iii) treating the mixture obtained from step (ii) under between 2 to 8 bar at temperature between 150 to 180° C for a period between 100 to 400 seconds in digester; (iv) mechanically refining the mixture of OPT, RW and MTH chips in a steam pressurized refiner where the chips are converted to refined fibres; (v) applying resin between 6 to 12% by dry weight of fibres and/or wax between 0.5 to 2.5% by dry weight of fibres to the OPT refined fibres obtained from step (iv); (vi) transforming the resinated fibres obtained from step (v) into mat; (vii) pressing the mat obtained from step (vi) at temperature between 160 to 220° C for a period time of 2 to 5 minutes. As for the method for producing fibreboards using 100% of OPT, the method include steps (i), (iii), (iv), (v), (vi) and (vii) as mentioned above using 100% of OPT only.

    • A distributed feedback semiconductor laser and a method of manufacture includes first and second clad layers having predetermined refractive indexes that are formed on a semiconductor substrate. A guide layer propagates light between the first and second clad layers. An oscillating clad layer oscillates light at a predetermined wavelength and an amplifying clad layer amplifies the light with a predetermined gain between the first clad layer and the guide layer. The distributed feedback semiconductor laser is divided into a laser oscillation section including the oscillating clad layer and a laser amplification section including the amplifying active layer. First and second gratings are formed on the lower surface of the guide layer in the laser oscillation section and in the laser amplification section, respectively.

    • The present invention relates to a TRPV3 (transient receptor potential vanilloid 3) activity inhibitor, more precisely to a method for inhibiting TRPV3 activity including the step of treating isopentenyl pyrophosphate and a method for treating skin disease containing the step of administering isopentenyl pyrophosphate to a subject with skin disease or applying the same on the skin of the subject. Isopentenyl pyrophosphate of the present invention controls increase of sensory cell reactivity to current or migration and proliferation of skin cells induced by TRPV3, so that it can be effectively used for the development of a pain reliever or a therapeutic agent for skin disease.
