    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Internet terminal for an interphone using an Internet line.
      SOLUTION: An interphone for the Internet using an Internet protocol realizes a terminal connecting the interphone to the Internet line. Then, a signal is transmitted from the terminal to a specific Internet terminal (portable telephone or personal computer or the like), and various data communication can be started. Thus, it is not necessary to provide any interphone exclusive line, and it is possible to easily construct the interphone utilizing an existing telephone line (copper line) or a cable television line, an Internet optical cable, a radio LAN or a portable telephone or the like. Then, the interphone is connected to the Internet so that interphone reception in a remote place which has been impossible hitherto is enabled.

    • Disclosed is an apparatus for wrapping paper on a cylindrical drum for use in a recording or reading system. The apparatus includes a roller for pressing the paper wrapped on the cylindrical drum. The roller is disposed in the vicinity of the cylindrical drum and in parallel to the axis of the cylindrical drum and is supported by a pair of roller-supporting plates disposed facing each other. Also included is a connecting rod disposed in parallel to the roller. The connecting rod penetrates a through-hole made in a substantial center portion of each of the roller-supporting plates and is supported by a pair of rod-supporting plates disposed outwardly with respect to the pair of roller-supporting plates. A lever is mounted on an end of at least one of the roller-supporting plates, which end is opposite to the other end where the roller is supported, so that the roller is rotatable about the axis of the connecting rod with the operation of the lever. The pair of roller-supporting plates are biased by a pair of springs so that the roller is pressed toward the cylindrical drum.

    • In a redundant switchover system for a TDMA satellite communication system for relaying messages from earth station to earth station (A, B, C) via a communication satellite (SAT), an initially active terminal unit (1) for determines at an early stage that the transmit burst synchronization is lost, and an initially stand-by terminal unit (2) determines at a later stage that the transmit burst synchronization is lost. Thus, a fault in only the transmit portion of a first unit, which is undetected by other means, is detected by the first terminal unit, but not the second terminal unit. The second terminal unit does not determine loss of transmit burst synchronization until after the second transmit portion has been in operation for a sufficient period of time to establish whether it is operating properly.

    • A surface acoustic wave actuator is disclosed which includes unidirectional interdigital transducers disposed on both sides of a vibrator and an electrical combiner. One of the unidirectional interdigital transducers and external power supply are connected to an input port, and the other unidirectional interdigital transducer is connected to an output port of the electrical combiner. The electrical combiner combines input energy from an external power supply and surface acoustic wave energy is electrically converted by one of the unidirectional interdigital transducers, and input to the other unidirectional interdigital transducer. Surface acoustic waves excited by the other unidirectional interdigital transducer propagates on a vibrator, and is input to the other unidirectional interdigital transducer again after passing one unidirectional interdigital transducer and the electrical combiner. A relative movement member is pressed against the vibrator for generating driving force via a friction force so that the relative movement member implements relative movement to the vibrator.
