    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple alarm device for rainfall intensity which can be installed in a home, and can issue an alarm in an early stage when it rains heavily and intensively, along with an alarm for disaster occurrence caused by long rain.
SOLUTION: The device is provided with a measuring tank 2 into which rain water from a water collector for collecting fallen rain water per unit area is allowed to flow, and which has in its lower part a drain hole 4 for draining an amount of rain not larger than a set level, and a measure 16 into which rain water from a water collector is allowed to flow, and which has at its bottom a drain hole 18 for draining an amount of water less than an amount of rain falling on the occasion of heavy rain and is supported so as to be vertically movable. A first detector 8A for detecting that the water level of the measuring tank 2 reaches a set high water level, and a second detector 8B for detecting a water level which is lower than the high water level but requires to be warned if heavy rain falls additionally are provided, and a long-rain alarm is issued by the output of the detector 8A. Moreover, an alarm for intensive heavy rainfalls is issued by combining the output of the detector 8B, with the output of a detector 20 for detecting that the measure 16 has moved down by the weight of water accumulated in the measure.

    • The invention provides a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a developer, which can manufacture a developer having a uniform and fine particle shape in a narrow particle size distribution and having a coloring agent highly dispersed therein at the primary particle level, the method and apparatus at the same time enabling continuous and efficient production without opening and closing a reactor. The method comprises the steps of: dissolving a binding resin component in a supercritical or subcritical fluid so that the binding resin component is blended with a coloring agent component; and reducing the solubility of the binding resin component in the supercritical or subcritical fluid so that the binding resin component is precipitated in the form of particles with the coloring agent component dispersed in the interior thereof. In the aforementioned method and apparatus, the reactor provided with at least a stirring mechanism and a mechanism for discharging dissolved components has a developer material carrier comprising a mesh that prevents the passage of treated materials and allows the passage of the supercritical or subcritical fluid.
