摘要： Disclosed is a handover controlling method in an RNC connected to a first Node B and a second Node B in a mobile communication system where a USTS service occurs between the first Node B and a UE within a cell of the first Node B and the UE hands over when the UE is located in a handover area across the cell areas of the first Node B and the second Node B adjacent to the first Node B. The method comprises determining whether the handover for the UE is possible or not; transmitting handover information to the second Node B if the handover is possible; and transmitting a command to the UE through the first Node B, requesting the UE to hand over to the second Node B if the UE receives a response message indicating that the handover is possible from the second Node B.

摘要： A transmitter for a mobile communication system based on an OFDM scheme and a method for controlling the same. The transmitter can implement a characteristic of a multiple access scheme based on an OFDM scheme, a characteristic of a CDMA scheme, and a characteristic of a frequency hopping scheme which has very strong resistance to the frequency selective fading. An apparatus for transmitting information bit sequences from a BS (Base Station) transmitter to different users, includes a plurality of channelizers for dividing a single frame of information bit sequences to be transmitted to individual users into a plurality of times according to a given time interval, simultaneously transmitting the information bit sequences to the individual users within the plurality of division times, dividing the information bit sequences, spreading the divided information bit sequences using different Walsh codes, converting the spread information bit sequences into a single sequence associated with the individual users, and outputting the single sequence; and a frequency hopper for dividing the single sequence, distributing the spread information bit sequences over a plurality of bandwidths capable of mapping-processing the spread information bit sequences with sub-carrier frequencies, and preventing each of the bandwidths from overlapping with time-frequency cells given by the given time interval.

摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus for encoding k consecutive inputs indicating a TFCI (Transport Format Combination Indicator) of each of successively transmitted frames into a sequence of m symbols in an NB-TDD (Narrowband-Time Division Duplex) mobile communication system. An encoder encodes the k input bits into a sequence of at least 2n symbols where 2n>m, using an extended Reed-Muller code from a Kasami sequence. A puncturer performs puncturing on the sequence of 2n symbols from the encoder so as to output a sequence of m symbols.

摘要： A joint channel and Direction of Arrival (DOA) estimation apparatus and method simplified to efficiently estimate a channel impulse response associated with a spatially selective transmission channel occurring in a mobile radio channel are provided. To uniformly process all directions, angles associated with a beam are predetermined according to a preset method. This selection calculates a linear system model with regular spatial sampling using regular spatial separation of beam angles. The novel beam forming compensates for a difference between an adaptive array antenna and a sector type antenna using appropriate beam steering according to the calculated linear system model, thereby improving performance and facilitating implementation.

摘要： Disclosed is an uplink random access procedure in an NB-TDD (Narrow Band Time Division Duplexing) system. To achieve an acknowledgement for data transmission from a UTRAN (UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network), a UE selects one of a plurality of sync codes by which the UTRAN identifies UEs that request data transmission and transmits the selected sync code in a time slot of a sub-frame to the UTRAN. Then, the UE receives the sync code information, information about the arrival time of the sync code, time update information indicating a variation in the transmission time of data, and power information indicating an adjustment to a power gain in the UE from the UTRAN on an FPACH (Fast Physical Access Channel). The UE transmits the data on a P-RACH (Physical Random Access Channel) mapped from the FPACH according to the time update information and the power information.

摘要： A method for transmitting control data on a downlink and/or uplink channel in a base station and/or mobile station in a mobile communication system. In one embodiment, the base station determines whether there is downlink channel data to transmit to a mobile station. If there is no data to be transmitted over the downlink channel for a predetermined time period, the base station drives a random gating position selector to determine a random gating slot position, gates on the control data at the determined slot position, and gates off the control data at other slot positions. The random position selector determines the gating slot position by calculating a value x by multiplying a system frame number (SFN) of a received signal by a specific integer; selecting n bits starting from a position which is at an x-chip distance from the start point of a scrambling code, which has a period equal to one frame, before a plurality of gating durations used in generating a downlink signal; and determining a gating slot position of a corresponding gating slot group by performing a modulo operation on the selected n bits, where the module operation is by the number of slots in a gating slot group.

摘要： A method and apparatus for sharing a DL-DPCH in an NB-TDD system. Two time slots at the same position in two subframes forming one radio frame are allocated as a DPCH for two UEs. A Node B arranges data and control information for the UEs in the two time slots and transmits the data and control information to the UEs. The UEs extract the data and control information from the two time slots and acquire the data and control information destined for the individual UEs.
