摘要： A transmitter for a mobile communication system based on an OFDM scheme and a method for controlling the same. The transmitter can implement a characteristic of a multiple access scheme based on an OFDM scheme, a characteristic of a CDMA scheme, and a characteristic of a frequency hopping scheme which has very strong resistance to the frequency selective fading. An apparatus for transmitting information bit sequences from a BS (Base Station) transmitter to different users, includes a plurality of channelizers for dividing a single frame of information bit sequences to be transmitted to individual users into a plurality of times according to a given time interval, simultaneously transmitting the information bit sequences to the individual users within the plurality of division times, dividing the information bit sequences, spreading the divided information bit sequences using different Walsh codes, converting the spread information bit sequences into a single sequence associated with the individual users, and outputting the single sequence; and a frequency hopper for dividing the single sequence, distributing the spread information bit sequences over a plurality of bandwidths capable of mapping-processing the spread information bit sequences with sub-carrier frequencies, and preventing each of the bandwidths from overlapping with time-frequency cells given by the given time interval.

摘要： A method for forming a subchannel in a communication system where a first communication system and a second communication system coexist. The method includes determining a first tile set by arranging first tiles remaining after forming at least one first subchannel for the first communication system among frequency resources, including a plurality of tiles, available for the first communication system; determining a second tile set by inserting second tiles which are independent of the frequency resources and are available for the second communication system into the determined first tile set at predetermined positions; forming at least one second subchannel for the second communication system by selecting a predetermined number of tiles from the second tile set; and performing communication using at least one of the first subchannel and the second subchannel.

摘要： Provided is an apparatus and method for estimating an uplink frequency offset in a wireless communication system. In a receiving apparatus of a wireless communication system using a random access channel composed of two equivalent sequences, the apparatus includes a channel receiver which extracts samples corresponding to the two sequences from an input random access channel signal; a correlator which computes first and second correlation values by correlating preceding and trailing samples among the samples output from the channel receiver with a predetermined sequence; and a frequency offset estimator which estimates a frequency offset by using a ratio of the second correlation value to the first correlation value output from the correlator.

摘要： A apparatus and method for estimating a channel condition of a forward link by a mobile station in a mobile communication system including the mobile station and a base station for performing an operation of transmitting/receiving data using a plurality of subcarriers having mutual orthogonality. The method comprises measuring carrier-to-interference ratio (C/I) values of the subcarriers using a signal received from the base station; determining from the received signal a subcarrier for transmitting feedback information in a given coherence bandwidth; generating feedback information to be transmitted over the determined subcarrier; and transmitting the generated feedback information to the base station as information for estimating a channel condition of the forward link.
