    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive light emitting device which enables secure connection between a reflector and a base substance and prevents short circuits even when a metal reflector capable of avoiding the deterioration of the reflection rate is used.SOLUTION: A light emitting device includes: an LED element 20 radiating light, a lead frame 21 on which the LED element 20 is mounted; and a metal reflector 30 being a frame body that overlaps with the lead frame 21 so as to enclose the LED element 20, the metal reflector 30 where an inner surface serves as a reflection surface 31. The lead frame 21 includes first and second lead frames 22, 23 which are not in contact with each other. An insulation state is formed between at least the second lead frame 23 and the reflector 30. An integrally formed mold resin 50 adheres to at least outer peripheral side surfaces 21b, 30b of the lead frame 21 and the reflector 30, and the lead frame 21 and the reflector 30 are positioned by the mold resin 50.
