摘要： This disclosure relates to a vulcanizable layered composition comprising at least two layers and at least one tie layer, wherein the first layer of the two layers comprises an fluid permeation prevention layer, the second layer of the two layers comprises at least one high diene rubber, and the tie layer comprises a mixture of : (1) about 50 to about 100 weight % of at least one halogenated isobutylene containing elastomer; (2) about 0 to about 50 weight % of at least one high diene elastomer; (3) about 20 to about 50 weight % of at least one filler; (4) about 0 to about 30 weight % of at least one processing oil; (5) about 1 to about 20 parts per hundred (phr) of at least one tackifier; and (6) at least about 0.2 to about 15 parts per hundred of rubber (phr) of a curing system for the elastomers; wherein THE fluid permeation prevention layer preferably comprises: (A) at least 10% by weight, based on the total weight of the polymer composition, of at least one thermoplastic engineering resin component, preferably one or more nylon resins, and (B) at least 10% by weight, based on the total weight of the polymer composition, of at least one elastomer component, preferably a brominated isobutylene p-methylstyrene copolymer, and where the total amount of the component (A) and the component (B) is not less than 30% by weight based on the total weight of the polymer composition, wherein the elastomer component (B) is dispersed in a vulcanized or partially vulcanized state, as a discontinuous phase, in a matrix of the thermoplastic resin component (A) in the polymer composition.

摘要： This disclosure relates to a vulcanizable layered composition comprising at least two layers and at least one tie layer. The first of the two layers comprises a fluid permeation prevention layer and the second comprises at least one high diene rubber. The tie layer comprises. a mixture, in parts by weight relative to 100 weight parts of rubber, of suitable amounts of: (1) epoxidized natural rubber; (2) at least one high diene elastomer; (3) at least one filler; (4) least one tackifier; and (5) a rubber curing system. In particular, a process for producing a thermoplastic elastomer composition having high rubber content by multistage addition of at least one vulcanizable rubber component, in which the time required to substantially cure the at least one rubber component preferably is less the mixer residence time. Such compositions are particularly useful in applications such as tire innerliners and barrier films or layers.

摘要： A layered structure suitable for use in a pneumatic tire as an innerliner is prepared by directly bonding a fluid permeation prevention film and an adhesive tie layer together. Prior to bonding the two layers, the fluid permeation prevention layer is treated to remove any residual plasticizers or oils on the surface of the film. The tie layer comprises a mixture of 100 weight % of at least one halogenated isobutylene containing elastomer and about 1 to about 20 parts per hundred (phr) of at least one tackifier. The fluid permeation prevention film comprises an elastomeric component dispersed in a vulcanized or partially vulcanized state, as a discontinuous phase, in a matrix of the thermoplastic resin component. The two layers of the layered structure may be separately extruded and then adhered to each other or adhered to each other during a calendering operation wherein the adhesive tie layer composition is coated onto the treated film.

摘要： A fluid barrier composition useful in industrial articles such as motor vehicle and aircraft tire innerliners and innertubes, tire curing bladders and hoses prepared from a mixture comprising: (A) about 30 to about 80 weight percent of at least one halogenated elastomeric random interpolymer comprising at least about 80 wt% of a polymerized isomonoolefin containing from 4 to 12 carbon atoms and about 0.5. to about 20 wt% of monomer units of (a) at least one C 4 to C 14 multiolefin; or (b) at least one para-alkylstyrene,- or (c) a mixture of at least one of (a) and at least one of (b) ; (B) about 0.5 to about 20 wt% of at least one block copolymer of styrene derived monomer units and C 4 to C 10 conjugated diene derived monomer units; (C) about 20 to about 45 Wt% of a filler, (D) greater than 0 to about 25 wt % of a plasticizer oil; and (E) about 1 to about 10 wt% of a curing system for said interpolymer. Preferably the block copolymer is an epoxidized styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer including an oxirane oxygen group.
