Durch die zyklische zeitlich Symmetrie heben sich in der Summe alle Flussdifferenzen in beiden Kanälen komplett auf, beide Fördermengen werden gleich. Zur Unterdrückung systematischer Fehler werden die Drücke in den Zu-und Abläufen der Volumenfördereinheiten hierbei konstant gehalten. Durch ein spezielles Umschaltregime (Spiegelverfahren) werden zeitliche Parameteränderungen der Pumpleistungen ebenfalls als Bilanzfehler eliminiert.
