    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cargo loading mechanism capable of mechanically and efficiently performing a series of work from loading and unloading work of a cargo such as a cable drum to carrying work and unreeling work of a cable on a laying site. SOLUTION: In this cargo loading mechanism, an operation unit 4 is disposed on a table 3 of a work vehicle to reciprocate in the longitudinal direction. The operation unit 4 has a pair of traveling frames 5 for traveling along main frames 2 disposed at the width directional side edges of a cargo bed; a pair of swing arms 7 joined to the respective traveling frames 5 capable of vertical ascent/descent operation and capable of variable operation of a distance between them; sleeves 7c projected from surfaces facing to each other near the tips of the swing arms 7 and capable of suspending a cargo with the sleeves 7c inserted in holes formed in side faces of the cargo; and a centering mechanism for centering the middle position between the swing arms 7 on the center in a vehicle width direction of the table 3.
