摘要： In a method of continuously annealing steel strip comprising a heating step (A), a soaking step (B), a primary cooling step (C) including a rapid cooling step at least in a second half thereof, an overaging step (D), and a final cooling step (E), inert atmosphere gas containing H2 gas in the concentration of 30 - 60 % is employed as cooling gas for use in the rapid cooling step, the blowoff temperature of the cooling gas is 30 - 150 DEG C, and the blowoff speed of the cooling gas is 100 - 150 m/sec. The primary cooling method in continuously annealing steel strip provides the primary cooling step (C) including the rapid cooling step which can be carried out with a high efficiency and a low cost.

The water of the temp. approximate to the temp. of the human skin is injected from one port into the square tube 11 and is discharged from the other port. A heater 5 is so energized as to maintain the heater temp. of the probe 1 at the specified temp. slightly higher than the water temp. The heat of the heating plate 4 is deprived of by the water flow and is transmitted to the annular heat receiving plate 3. The temp. is increased by the heat transmitted to the annular heat receiving plate 3 and a temp. difference is generated between the two plates. The electromotive force is thereby generated in a thermocouple. The water temp. in the square tube 11 is then changed and the relations between the flow rates at various temps. and the electromotive forces are investigated. These relations are made into a diagram for conversion.
