    • A fiber reinforced plastic spring is provided, in which broken pieces can be prevented from being scattered when breaking without using any additional member and variation in load when breaking can be reduced. FRP spring has a layered structure having basic unit consisting of a positive direction orientating layer and a negative direction orientating layer 22. By appropriately setting an absolute value of orientating angles of each layer, fibers in the positive direction orientating layer and the negative direction orientating layer can be entangled mutually, and thus, the spring as a whole exhibits pseudo-ductility in a breakage condition. Elastic modulus and strength available for use as a spring can be obtained and breaking at a resin portion between fibers can be prevented in each layer.

    • An object detector has a light projecting unit that projects light, a light scanning actuator that scans the light, and a light receiving unit. The light scanning actuator includes plate springs, each having a thin-plate shape and one end in a longitudinal direction thereof being fixed; a movable part attached to the other ends in the longitudinal directions of the plate springs; and an electromagnetic driving unit having a magnet that generates a magnetic flux, a yoke that forms a closed magnetic circuit with the magnet and has a part being stacked on the magnet, and a coil held by the movable part and positioned in a gap between the magnet and the yoke such that an aperture plane is substantially orthogonal to a stacking direction of the magnet and the yoke, the electromagnetic driving unit configured to drive the movable part by an electromagnetic force applied to the coil.

    • To provide an optical scanning sensor which performs an object detection with high accuracy by suppressing the mutual interference between scanning light and reflection light, the optical scanning sensor comprises a light projecting unit that projects light, an optical scanning actuator that emits the light from the light projecting unit via a reflecting mirror and performs scanning with the light emitted by causing the mirror to swing, and a light receiving unit that receives, via the mirror, reflection light by an external object of scanning light emitted by the optical scanning actuator. The mirror includes a first surface that reflects the light projected by the light projecting unit and emits the light reflected outward as the scanning light, and a second surface that is parallel to and discontinuous in a reflection area with the first surface and reflects and emits the reflection light to the light receiving unit.

    • An optical scanning actuator includes a fixed member having a light source, a movable member having an optical element that deflects light emitted from the light source and caused to vibrate by a driving unit in a direction perpendicular to an optical axis of the optical element, and a joint unit that connects the fixed member and the movable member, supports the movable member, and is bent in a direction perpendicular to an optical axis of light emitted from the light source by vibration of the movable member. The optical scanning actuator scans light emitted from the light source in an vibration direction by vibration of the optical element along with the vibration of the movable member. The joint unit includes pairs of joint members connected via at least one deformation reducing member that reduces bending deformation of the joint members caused by the vibration of the movable member.
