[Class 100 (i).] In sheet-delivery apparatus for printing- machines in which tapes 1 forward the printed sheet to an endless-tape drop-sheet deliverycarriage 5, the tapes 3 on the carriage 5 in addition to passing over the guide-rollers 10, 11 on the carriage also pass over a roller 8 mounted on a fixed axis adjacent to the delivery end of the tapes 1 so that the tapes 3 pass underneath the tapes 1 as the carriage 5 moves towards the machine. An additional guide-roller 9 is provided to ensure that the tapes 3 bear on more than half the circumference of the roller 8. A free-wheel device is provided on the roller 8 to allow the upper run of the tapes 3 to move outwardly with the carriage and to prevent backward movement of the upper run with the carriage. By means of a link-mechanism connected to the oscillating-shaft 16 from which the carriage 5 is operated, a short intermittent movement is given to the freewheel device so that the roller 8 is turned in a clockwise direction, as shown, as the carriage 5 starts to move backward, and the tapes continue to move forward, to complete the delivery of the sheets to the pile 7. The arrangement permits the tapes 1 to be pivoted upwardly about a point adjacent to the printing-machine for access to the inking &c. apparatus.

摘要： Radioactive sources, preferably radioactive seeds, for use in brachytherapy comprising a radioisotope within a sealed biocompatible container, wherein at least one part of a surface of the container is roughened, shaped or otherwise treated so that it is no longer smooth. The surface treatment may enhance the ultrasound visibility of the source and/or reduce the tendency of the source to migrate once implanted in a patient's body. Preferred radioisotopes are palladium-103 and iodine-125.

A plurality of panels are hinged for a composite shield-effect when folded outwardly for use; and a plurality of spikes, which are supportingly connected to the panels, are movable between an upper position for ease of transport and a lower position in which they are pushed into the ground to hold the panel assembly stable.The connectors for connecting the spikes to the panels, but permitting the movement of the spikes into the sand or ground, are advantageously provided integrally from portions of the panels themselves, and they are located sufficiently low with respect to the bottom edge of the panels that the spikes are supported in and between both their transport position and their ground-engaging position; and the connectors for the spike or spikes inwardly of the end spikes are formed from the panel-portions adjacent the hinges of the panels, thus achieving the opening for accommodation of the spike by the panel-material which would be an outside corner of the panel assembly whether in folded condition for transport or open condition for shield-effect use.

摘要： The present invention comprises a system which includes a novel quick release thruster mount system using one or more removable elements allowing the thrusters to be removed quickly. The present invention also comprises a novel “float compartment centric” design where no wiring to the cockpit is necessary. Redundant power units are self-contained and protected. The novel design incorporates thrust force over the surface of the water rudders improving directional control. The rudder anti lift device ALPB allows the rudders to remain in the water while reverse or braking thrust is applied. Control and monitoring are done wirelessly from the safety of the cockpit reducing hazard while maneuvering to avoid prop strike hazards to pilot, persons or objects. The system offers the ability to maintain positive directional control while taxing downwind resisting the inherent weathervane forces, braking, and turning maneuvers unachievable with current methods. The system differs from any prior art due to the aft location of drive components, method for deployment, and the fact that the drive system does not mount directly to the float itself but rather the water rudders. These forces are marginal in comparison to what is needed when one takes into consideration the Moment and Arm location of the force and the smaller lightweight thrusters do more work with less effort.

The device could enable a person or medical professional to make an incision through the patient tissue for creating the surgical airway in the patient's trachea. The device comprises a handle and a bolster. The handle having a longitudinal cavity at a second end for securely receiving and holding a blade. The bolster is securely and slidably positioned into a recess at the second end of the handle using a pair of latches. The bolster is configured to freely slide in and out of the handle for concealing and exposing the blade, thereby enabling a person or medical professional to make an incision proximate the patient's trachea for creating the surgical airway and allowing to simply insert a conventional tracheal tube via the incision to facilitate oxygenation and ventilation during emergency medical conditions.
