    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide plant powder causing no formation of undissolved powder lumps when dispersed in water so that the dispersed material immediately has smooth feeling to the tongue, and containing no sub-material: and to provide a method for producing the powder.
      SOLUTION: The plant powder has ≥5.0 mm of a water transfer distance measured by the following method: vertically splitting a plastic tube having an internal diameter of 25mm and length of 60mm in two; processing both ends of the split tube so as to prevent leakage of water; attaching a detachable slit at a position 25mm apart from one side of the tube; putting 2g of the powder to be measured on the 25mm-side; slightly tapping whole the tube 10 times to settle the powder flat; putting 4mL of water in the other side of the tube; subsequently taking off the slit to make the powder come in contact with the water; measuring the distance where the water leaks in the powder 3.5 min after; and taking an average of the longest distance and the shortest distance as the water transfer distance.
