摘要： A system for converting wind power to electrical energy has a peripheral frame, sails interconnected to the peripheral frame, radial struts extending from the hub to the peripheral frame, wheels mounted on the peripheral frame, electric generators interconnected with respective wheels, and a hub about which the peripheral frame is rotatable. The hub is in electrical communication with the electric generators. Sails may be interconnected with the peripheral frame on respective masts, each mast having a base and the mast being pivotable about the base. The electric generators may be mounted on a variety of locations, such as the peripheral frame. Each electric generator may be interconnected with a respective wheel via a belt, a chain or other mechanism. The system may include arrangements to generate electricity from sunlight.

摘要： A laminating assembly and method laminates sheet material (22) by sandwiching the sheet material (22) within laminating material (12) coated with heat-activated adhesive (14, 46) and feeding the sandwiched material into a common office machine with heated rollers such as a laser printer (24). The laminating material (12) is either foldable about a central fold line (20) or cut along the fold line (20) to form two laminating material sheets (42, 44). The heat-activated adhesive (14, 46) is activated in a temperature range at which the laser printer (24) operates. Room-temperature-active, pressure-sensitive adhesive (30, 50) is applied to the laminating material (12) on the same side as the heat-activated adhesive (14, 46) so that the sheet material (22) may be securely positioned and held in place within the laminating material (12) during the laminating process.

摘要： An image transfer assembly (12) receives an image printed from an ink jet printer. The assembly (12) provides a device to transfer the printed image onto an image-receiving surface. The assembly (12) has a flexible substrate (16) on one side, and an upper surface (20) on the other side that is substantially permeable to ink jet printer ink and that is non-tacky prior to printing. The assembly (12) has an adhesive or polymer layer (14) in between the upper surface (20) and the flexible substrate (16). After printing with a water-based ink jet printer ink, the user may apply the assembly (12) to a substrate, such as a window or other surface, and remove the flexible substrate (16), thereby leaving the layer (14) that bears the image on the substrate. In one of several alternative embodiments, the layer (14) is divided into discrete zones that are separated from one another along boundaries.
