    • PURPOSE:To connect the circumferential and longitudinal directions of a tunnel simply and positively by one process by coupling the front ends of connecting rods with joint fittings inserted to the front and rear inclined faces of a hexagonal type segment with the joints of previously assembled segments. CONSTITUTION:L-shaped engaging end face plate sections 8 are formed to both inclined end face plates 5, 5 on the front side of a hexagonal type segment 1, and a joint fitting housing section 9 is shaped. A steel pipe 10 is buried in the direction orthogonal to front and rear end face plates 3, 4 from the housing section 9, and a through-hole 11 is formed. The hexagonal type segments 1 are disposed zigzag so that opposed inclined end face plates 5, 6 are joined with front and rear inclined end face plates 5, 5, 6, 6 respectively and the front and rear end face plates 3, 4 are joined mutually in the longitudinal direction for lining a tunnel wall surface. The joint fittings 14 of connecting rods 12, 12 with joint fittings inserted into the through-hole 11 between the inclined end face plates 5, 6 and screw sections 13 are screwed, and these joint fittings 14 and screw sections 13 are coupled and joined.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform lining smoothly and efficiently by assembling hexagonal segments in the shape of a zig-zag to form the lining of the straight line section of a tunnel, and assembling successively trapezoid, single tapered and double tapered segments respectively to make the lining of the curve section of the tunnel. CONSTITUTION:A tunnel straight line section A, tunnel curve section B coming from the A and tunnel straight line section C coming from the B are successively excavated to make the lining of segments to the surface of a tunnel. In that case, trapezoid spaces 8 are formed by assembling hexagonal segments 1 and, at the same time, the segment lining is formed in the length direction of the tunnel straight section A while fitting and connecting trapezoid parts 1b in the latter half of the hexagonal segments 1 to the spaces 8. While, when the lining of the tunnel curve section B is made, isosceles trapezoid segments 11 are fitted to the spaces 8 to form a tunnel starting end 13, and single tapered segments 14 are assembled to connect therewith. In addition, after tunnel curve starting lining ring sections 15 are assembled to the tunnel starting end 13, double segments 17 are used to make the lining of the tunnel curve section B.
