    • A generator section of a fuel cell comprises an electromotive unit, a fuel tank, a passage through which fluids, including fuel, water, and air, are circulated, and a valve mechanism in the passage. A control section has a connector connectable to an electronic device and controls operation of the generator section. A locking mechanism has a locking member, movable between a locking position in which the electronic device connected to the connector is locked in a connected position and a release position in which the electronic device is unlocked, and an eject member which moves the locking member to the release position. The control section has a detector which detects movement of the eject member and a valve drive unit which closes the valve mechanism of the generator section when the movement of the eject member is detected by the detector.

    • According one embodiment, a fuel cell includes an electromotive section, a fuel tank, a mixing tank in which a fuel supplied from the fuel tank is mixed with water and an aqueous fuel solution to be supplied to the electromotive section is formed, an anode line through which the fuel is circulated between the electromotive section and the mixing tank, an air supply section which supplies air to the electromotive section, and a cathode line through which water obtained by condensing steam delivered from the electromotive section is guided to the mixing tank. The mixing tank has a water inlet, which is connected to the cathode line, extends at an angle to a vertical direction, and produces convection currents in the mixing tank, and a fuel inlet, which is connected to the fuel supply line and situated above the water inlet with respect to the vertical direction.

    • According to one embodiment, a cell stack of a fuel cell device comprises a positive electrode including a anode separator, and a pair of anode plates laminated opposite first and second contact surfaces of the anode separator, a pair of negative electrodes laminated individually on the opposite sides of the positive electrode, and electrolyte layers. The negative electrode includes a cathode plate opposed to each corresponding anode plate with a gap therebetween and a cathode separator provided with a contact surface opposed to the cathode plate. The anode separator includes first fuel channels formed in the first contact surface, second fuel channels formed in the second contact surface, and cooling channels formed between the first and second contact surfaces and through which a coolant is circulated. The cathode separator includes a plurality of air channels formed in the contact surface and through which air is supplied to the cathode plate.
