SOLUTION: The surface cleaning apparatus includes a main body 106, and the main body includes a rear compartment 108, a front compartment 114 and an intermediate compartment 124 disposed between the rear and front compartments. An elongated rotatable brush device 116 is disposed across the front compartment in the front compartment 114. A motor 110 is disposed in the rear compartment 108. Besides, driving devices 128, 130, 131 extend between the rotatable brush device and the motor. Further, an auxiliary brush device 134 is provided on one side of the main body 106 and is driven by the motor 110.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface cleaning apparatus for cleaning the surface of a floor etc. which can securely remove dust etc. on an uneven part of the surface, for instance, in cracks and crevices.
SOLUTION: This surface cleaning apparatus includes a brush (11) with a substantially cylindrical member. The substantially cylindrical member is equipped with a plurality of bristle tufts (119, 121) substantially extended radially from the cylindrical member. Bristles have first length and second length shorter than the first length. The first length bristles (121) and the second length bristles (119) are distributed substantially along the axis line direction of the substantially cylindrical member. Thereby the first length bristles can reach deep in an uneven part of a surface (104) to be cleaned.
