    • A hydraulic pressure controller is provided which includes a hydraulic unit for controlling hydraulic pressure and an electronic control unit. The hydraulic unit includes a block in which are mounted electric actuators. The electronic control unit controls the electric actuators by applying electric signals thereto to control hydraulic pressure produced in the hydraulic unit to external elements in a controlled manner, thereby controlling the behavior of the vehicle. The electronic control unit includes a housing in which are mounted a circuit board and other electronic and electric parts, and a fitting portion provided on the housing so as to face one side of the block. At least one end portion of the block is received in the fitting portion and is engaged by a seal. The controller further includes a fastener for joining the block to the fitting portion.

    • A device used for controlling brake fluid pressure includes a plunger pump, for pressurizing brake fluid, and a drive motor for driving the plunger pump. The plunger pump and the output shaft of the drive motor are coupled together so as to transmit power through a cam mechanism arranged in a motor cam chamber. The motor cam chamber is provided with a communication passageway to allow brake fluid seepage to flow from the motor cam chamber to an interior chamber such as a solenoid chamber and/or one or more spring-enclosing chambers. The motor cam chamber is sealed from the exterior and brake fluid seeping into the motor cam chamber is contained within the interior of the device used for controlling brake fluid pressure.

    • A brake device comprises a brake cylinder, a reservoir, a pump, a master cylinder, and a pulsation-reduction device. The reservoir serves to accumulate a working liquid discharged from the brake cylinder. The pump serves to pump the working liquid accumulated within the reservoir. The master cylinder serves to receive the working liquid discharged from the pump. The pulsation-reduction device comprises a valve device disposed in a communication channel connecting the downstream side of the pump and the master cylinder. The valve device comprises a spool disposed within the communication channel. The spool is movable along the communication channel in response to differences in pressure between the pump side of the communication channel and the master cylinder side of the communication channel. The movement of the spool operates to open and close at least a part of the communication channel.

    • A brake device has at least one wheel cylinder operable by the pressure of a working liquid. A reservoir stores the working liquid discharged from the at least one wheel cylinder during the operation of an anti-lock braking function. A pump serves to transfer the working liquid from the reservoir. An outlet valve is disposed on the discharge side of the pump. A master cylinder receives the working liquid delivered from the pump via the outlet valve. A pulsation reducing device is disposed on a downstream side of the outlet valve between the pump and the master cylinder. The pulsation reducing device controls the operation speed of the outlet valve in order to reduce possible pulsations produced in the working liquid discharged from the pump.
