    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the defect in plating by preventing objects to be plated rolling in a barrel rotating around an axis from being caught in a barrel.
      SOLUTION: The barrel is provided with: a barrel body 2 formed into an almost polygonal cylindrical shape by both the edge faces and the circumferential multiple faces, and in which multiple pores 7a are formed on the faces other than a circumferential one face, and the object to be plated can be stored at the inside; an opening frame body 5 arranged at the above one face in the barrel body 2 and having an opening part 4; and a covering tool 6 of opening and closing the opening part 4 in the opening frame body 5. The covering tool 6 comprises: a cover body 10 of pressing a slope 11 against the edge 4a of the opening part 4 and closing the opening part 4; and a pressing board 20 of allowing an engagement part 20 provided at the circumferential part to be engaged with the opening frame body 5 so as to be freely engaged/disengaged, pressing the cover body 10 against the side of the barrel body 2 and checking its removal. In the covering tool 6, the space between the cover body 10 and the pressing board 20 is provided with a pressure applying means 40 of flexibly separating the pressing board 20 from the cover body 10 and applying pressing force against the side of the barrel body 2 to the cover body 10.
