    • A hydraulic system is preferably used in combination with a motor and a clutch of a hybrid vehicle. The hydraulic system is comprised of a pump coupled with the motor to pressurize fluid; a pressurized fluid path coupled with the pump to conduct the pressurized fluid; an operating fluid path connecting the pressurized fluid path with the clutch to actuate the clutch; a depressurized fluid path to conduct depressurized fluid; and an on-off valve operated in cooperation with the clutch to selectively permit fluid connection of the pressurized fluid path to the depressurized fluid path so as to relieve pressure in the pressurized fluid path.

    • An electromagnetic clutch is provided with: a clutch hub which is connected to a shaft member (one of a pair of rotation members); a clutch housing which is connected to a hollow shaft (the other of a pair of rotation members); a rotor which is connected to the clutch housing; a main clutch (clutch member) which is disposed between the clutch hub and the clutch housing; and an electromagnet which operates the main clutch. An end surface of the clutch housing and an end surface of a core of the electromagnet are disposed to be opposed to each other with the rotor interposed therebetween in an axial direction.The end of the rotor in a side of the clutch housing is formed with an extension portion which extends to the clutch housing in the axial direction. An outer periphery of the clutch housing is connected to the extension portion through a connection portion. The connection portion is disposed outside the main clutch in a radial direction.

    • A cooling system is simple in structure, efficient, and durable due to a lowered burden on bearings and reduced loss of drive power. The cooling system includes a compressor having a first rotor for compressing air, a cooler for cooling high-temperature, high-pressure air delivered form the compressor, and an expander having a second rotor for effecting adiabatic expansion of air cooled by the cooler. The expander has a speed change mechanism for transmitting drive torque of a prime mover to the compressor and a common shaft that extends through the first and second rotors. The expander is interposed between the speed change mechanism and the compressor.
