    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction tool for skin which features high durability and a great suction power without being bulky, and can be easily cleaned and dried.
      SOLUTION: By enclosing a pimple with a suction mouth 11a, and pulling up a piston rod 13 to move a piston 12 to the rear side of a cylinder 11, pus comes out of the pimple due to the depressurized air before the piston 12 within the cylinder 11. Such cylinder system like this improves the durability compared with the conventional rubber-ball suction system. Moreover, in this system, the suction power can be increased by an inexpensive and non-bulky method merely pulling up the piston 12 to a large extent not by replacing the rubber ball, in the rubber-ball system, with a new larger, more bulky, and expensive ball. In addition, in the cylinder system, it is easier to clean or dry it afterwards.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a titled press which squeezes efficiently liquid by the constitution wherein liquid discharging grooves are provided in the crest parts of screws to guide the squeezed liquid in a cylinder provided adjacently with filtering rings provided with the gaps for discharging the squeezed liquid and pressing rings for increasing pressure. CONSTITUTION:A screw press squeezes liquid while conveying the raw material charged from a hopper 3 with screws W1-W6 attached to a screw shaft 1 in a cylinder construction provided with plural filter rings R1, R2 and pressing rings R3, R4 disposed apart from said rings adjacently thereto and having a length of a cylindrical shape. Liquid discharging grooves are provided along the spiral crest parts of the screws W3-W6 of such screw press to guide the squeezed liquid along the grooves to the end part of the cylinder, whereby the clogging in the filtering cylinder W3, etc. is prevented and the squeezing of the liquid is efficiently accomplished. The sectional volume of the screws is made larger in the ring cylinder part than in the pressing cylinder part, whereby the effect of squeezing the liquid is accelerated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehydration apparatus capable of continuously dehydrating the object at a high speed, which is to be dehydrated and consists of a muddy object containing minute particles.
      SOLUTION: A dehydration area of this dehydration apparatus is divided into three areas, namely, a concentration/dehydration area (A), a suction/dehydration area (B) and a pressurization/dehydration area (C). The concentration/dehydration area (A) is constituted so that a pair of filter cloth belts 101, 102 are superimposed on each other. The suction/dehydration area (B) is constituted so that a plurality of lower pressure rollers 11 and a plurality of upper pressure rollers 12 are arranged and a filter cloth belt is arranged zigzag. The pressurization/dehydration area (C) is constituted so that the filter cloth belts 101, 102 are bonded on the outer peripheral surface of a rotary drum 20 and a pressure roller 23 is arranged for pressing the rotary drum 20. Each of the filter cloth belts 101, 102 is formed into a felt-like shape by weaving superfine fibers. A raw material being the object to be dehydrated is sucked/dehydrated in the concentration/dehydration area (A), sucked and pressurized/dehydrated in the suction/dehydration area (B) and pressurized/dehydrated in the pressurization/dehydration area (C).

    • PURPOSE:To improve a liquid squeezing function in a screw press for solid- liquid sepn. having an annular gap on an outside cylinder by providing a gap cleaning plate on the outside circumference of the screw and injecting a gas through the holes of a hollow shaft and discharging the squeezed liquid therefrom. CONSTITUTION:A raw material (a liquid material to be squeezed) is charged from a hopper 5 and is compressed by the screw of the 1st cylinder 12. The squeezed liquid flows through the gap between filtrate rings R2. The raw material cut by knife rings R4 is similarly compressed by the 2nd cylinder 13 and is compressed by the shaft having a gradually increasing diameter, and after the final squeezing by the 3rd cylinder 14, the squeezed cake is discharged from the gap between pressure adjusting cones 3. There is a ramming plate (bar) 9 moving between the rings R1 on the vane of the screw W to eliminate clogging. The gas (air or steam) entering through a hollow hole 2 is injected into the hollow shaft through holes 16, 18 to improve flow and size reduction. The squeezed liquid is drawn from the hole 16 on the down stream of a partition 4 to accomplish thorough compression. The compression is thus thoroughly and smoothly accomplished.

    • An apparatus is provided for driving a discharge lamp, the discharge lamp having first and second electrodes, each of the first and second electrodes having first and second terminals. The apparatus includes a switching circuit coupled to the first terminals of the first and second electrodes of the discharge lamp for supplying a high frequency signal to the discharge lamp for igniting the discharge lamp. A starting circuit is provided connected to the second terminals of the first and second electrodes of the discharge lamp and including an inductor and capacitor connected in parallel across the discharge lamp. Alternately, a thermister is provided between parallel connected conductor and capacitor and one of the second terminals of the first electrode of the discharge lamp. Furthermore, circuitry is provided which is connected between the switching circuit and the thermister for deactivating the switching circuit when the thermister is heated to a specified temperature.
