    • A switch to be used for a power window of an automobile or the like is disclosed. It has a switch body. A knob is rotatably axially supported by the switch body. The knob has an accommodating chamber in its inside. A presser is accommodated within the chamber and biased downward by a spring. A pair of contact blades are positioned under the presser. Each of the contact blades is formed at its central portion with a V-shaped portion and inclined surfaces extending toward the right and left directions. The inclined surfaces are further extended to form contact portions. There is formed with a step between the inclined surfaces and the contact portions, so that a first step of operation and a second step of operation of the knob can be made without mistake. Stationary contacts are positioned corresponding to the contact portions. It also has a pair of contact holders. Each of the holders has a supporting piece folded upward from its one side. The supporting pieces contact the under surfaces of the inclined surfaces. A two way solenoid is connected to the knob to attract it in the both directions.

    • A key interlocking mechanism for an automobile ensures that the automobile transmission is in the proper position when the key is removed. The mechanism includes a stopper pin protruding into the rotational path of the key motor and a solenoid valve energized when the automobile transmission is shifted out of park. When the key rotor is rotated with the solenoid valve unenergized, a cam plate within the mechanism acts to push the stopper pin up out of the rotational path of the key rotor. When the solenoid valve is energized, the stopper pin is prevented from being pushed out of the rotational path of the rotor. The key rotor is thus prevented from being rotated to a position in which the key can be removed from the rotor.

    • An electromagnetic relay switch assembly comprises, in combination, an electromagnetic coil, a movable plate of magnetizable material supported for pivotal movement between attracted and released positions, a drive wheel including a pawl member and being rotatable reciprocately in response to the movement of the movable plate, a carrier wheel having a detent gear and a ratchet gear. Each time the movable plate is moved from the released position to the attracted position, the carrier wheel is stepwisely rotated in one direction by the pawl member engaged to any one of the ratchet gear teeth. A detent pawl for avoiding the reverse rotation of the carrier wheel and a positioning member for accurately positioning the carrier wheel are also provided.

    • The solenoid body of an electromagnetic solenoid having a pair of coil terminals to which an exciting coil is connected is movable together with a stopper plate in the direction of the arrow X and in the direction opposite to the direction of the arrow X in a casing. Each of a pair of coil springs of electrically conductive material has one end portion which is pressed against the spring supporting portion of the respective coil terminal, and the other end portion which is pressed against the inner surface of a cover, so that the electromagnetic solenoid and the stopper plate are urged towards a lock position. The coil springs includes external connecting portions to which external connecting wires are connected, so that current is supplied to the exciting coil of the electromagnetic solenoid through the coil springs.
