    • A rotor (10) for a centrifugal separator (12) for circulated engine lubricant formed by end walls (44, 46) and radially outer and inner side walls (42, 52) that define a separation and containment region (82). Wall (52) is defined by a tubular tension member (50) that surrounds a rotation axis (30) and extends between and through the end walls to keep them in position. Mounted within first and second ends (72, 74) of the tubular tension member are respective first and second end closure plugs (86, 88). Plug (88) has a passage (90) to admit liquid into the tubular member, but otherwise each plug is seated to inhibit passage of liquid from the member end. Each plug comprises a body seated by interference fit and an integral axially extending component (86′, 88′) that forms a mounting pin for mounting the rotor within bearing parts (24, 28) of the housing. Closure plugs may be assembled from separate plug body and fixed or rotatable mounting pin components and may extend along the tubular member and be coupled to each other, or be formed integrally as a unitary body, or share a common mounting pin that extends between discrete plug bodies.

    • A rotor (1) designed to be installed in the housing (16) of a free jet centrifuge, the rotor being provided with at least one inlet (3) and at least one outlet (4), which outlet is configured as a nozzle which is oriented at least substantially tangentially to the axis of rotation (13) of the rotor. The rotor is provided with receptacles for bearings for rotatably mounting the rotor, and the rotor having at least one guide element (7) which extends from an inner wall (38) to an outer wall (39) of a rotor interior space (8). At least the rotor shell (11) is made of synthetic resin material. Owing to its form, the synthetic resin centrifuge rotor can be made up of a reduced number of parts. The rotor may be composed of two elements, a base (10) and a shell (11), connected together either by a snap connection or by welding, such as vibration welding. An oil centrifuge fitted with such a rotor is particularly suitable for cleaning lubricating oil used in an internal combustion engine.

    • An oil cleaning device of an engine oil circuit has a centrifuge that removes particles from oil. The centrifuge has a centrifuge housing with an inlet for the oil to be cleaned and a drain for the cleaned oil. The centrifuge housing has a housing cup and a housing cover detachably connected to the housing cup. A rotor is rotatably arranged inside the centrifuge housing. The housing cover, in a mounted state of the centrifuge, closes off a bottom end of the housing cup. The drain extends through a circumferential wall of the housing cup and has a drain opening provided in a radial inner circumferential side of the circumferential wall. The drain opening has a lower boundary at the radial inner circumferential side. The housing cover has a topside with a radial outer rim arranged at the level of or above the lower boundary of the drain opening.

    • A liquid filter has a filter housing with a first thread and a drain passage. A filter element including a filter medium is arranged in the filter housing. A filter lid is provided with a second thread configured to engage the first thread for connecting the filter lid to the filter housing. The filter lid further has a filter bypass valve for bypassing the filter element when a pressure loss that is too high occurs when liquid passes through the filter medium of the filter element. First bayonet connectors are provided on the filter lid and second bayonet connectors are provided on the filter element for connecting the filter element to the filter lid by engaging the first bayonet connectors. A double-concentric seal is arranged on the filter element for closing off the drain passage.
