    • A circuit for electric fuses includes circuits for sensing status and programming that have separate paths for each operation. The circuit includes a plurality of electrically programmable fuses and, associated with each fuse, a switch for coupling a first terminal of the fuse to a ground supply for programming or to a comparator for sensing. The circuit uses a switched current source to supply current to the fuses for programming. The comparator senses a fuse status when a current source is switched through the fuse. The comparator compares a voltage across the fuse and associated switches to a comparison voltage across a comparison resistor and switches included for matching.

    • A wireless temperature sensor network includes a base station unit which transmits query signals cyclically addressing a plurality of temperature sensor transponder units. The transponder units are passive and derive operating power from the query signal to encode measured temperature data into a reply signal which is received by the base station. In a dual carrier embodiment, the query signal and reply signals are transmitted on separate frequencies. In a backscattering embodiment, the antennas of the transponder units can be switched between an absorption mode in which the query signal is received and a reflection mode in which the query signal is reflected back to the base station. The transponder antennas are switched in such a manner as to encode temperature data in the reflected signal to form a reply signal. The network embodiments are particularly applicable to space based platforms.

    • A distributed control system for an active array antenna system is disclosed. In an exemplary embodiment, the array system employs many transmit/receive (T/R) modules each with an associated radiator element, a phase shifter element and a set of RF switch elements to set the module to transmit or receive modes. The array system is arranged to generate a transmit or receive array beam. The distributed control system in an exemplary embodiment includes an array processor for controlling the array, the processor configured to generate command signals to set the T/R module elements to transmit or receive mode and to steer the array beam to a desired direction. The command signals to steer the array beam include phase slopes common to all T/R modules in a given array or subarray. Each T/R module includes a beam steering control function configured to convert the phase slope data to phase data to set the phase shifter element for that T/R module to a phase shift setting for the beam direction associated with the phase slope index data.
